Anti-Islamic Video: Was It a Hoax or Setup?

The Anti-Islamic supposed film trailer continues to fuel wide spread protests and violence throughout Islamic communities worldwide, but there is no evidence that the film itself even exists and the investigation is ongoing. However, many claims by the alleged “film maker,” have been already proven false and the whole incident have the markings of a hoax all over it.

 The video trailer itself is a proof that whoever made it is not a professional movie maker, though he had enough money to convince some American actors to play in it. They have been told that the movie “Dessert Warriors” was about the contrast of the ancient nomadic ways in comparison to the modern way of life of people in Middle East today. It had no references to Islam or its prophet Mohammad.

 It is also evident that the video was made mainly to enrage Muslims against America and Israel, hence the false claims of the alleged film maker that he was Israeli-American and made the movie with the money from Jewish donors. When this falsehood was exposed, he started to claim that he is an Egyptian Coptic Christian, which in my opinion is also false.

 Given the suffering of Egyptian Christians before and since the recent revolution after which Muslim Brotherhood won the political power, no Egyptian Christian would ever have wanted to enrage Muslims and cause so much greater violence for Christians in Egypt where burning of Christian churches and violent attacks on Christian men, women, and children have become an ever increasing common occurrences.

 No. This pathetic video was not only a hoax, but a setup. It was created for the sole purpose of inciting Muslims worldwide to hatred and violence against Christians and Jews whom America in their eyes represents. Now it doesn’t really matter what the investigation of the film will prove, the violence will continue and fanatical Islamists as well as Islamist governments such as the regime in Iran, will continue to use it as a pretext for hostile acts against both Israel and America.

President Obama might have thought that supporting Arab Spring will appease radical Islamists and prevent hostilities, but these efforts have been a sign of weakness in their eyes and hence more possible attacks are coming, perhaps even on American soil. Americans have to remember that they are the “Great Satan” according to the Islamist ideology and even turning their back on Israel will nor change it.

These people loath all the core American values and desire to destroy the western culture and way of life because it has Judeo-Christian roots. Not all Muslims of course share this ideology and we must all remember not to succumb to the level of hatred and violence against them in return, but neither we, nor our governments should be ignorant about the threat of radical Islamism to our  peace and freedom either.
