Apocalypse: A Load of Big Old Goobledegook

The new “Apocalypse” is coming to a planet near you. That planet is called Earth.

For people who are with the “Apocalypse” happening, I advise you do not read this article.

Quite frankly I’ve had enough of all this Apocalypse palaver. Its all over the news. Everybody is worrying about it. I personally have to much to do on “Apocalypse day” (Wednesday 10thSept 08). So Mr Apocalypse could you please move it to a different day, I don’t think my schedule will allow me to visit you on Wednesday.

What about the Millennium? Wasn’t the world supposed to end then? Wasn’t we supposed to all die in a big mass apocalypse? Maybe Buffy the Vampire slayer saved the day, I don’t know?

To be honest I feel it’s a load of gobbledegook. The planet is strong. The people and species that live upon it are strong. So how would some thing so big be wiped out by …nothing.

Rumours and made up stories are what leads to an “Apocalypse”, some sad boring person sitting at home, reports to the media that they think that the world is going to end and everyone believes it. Hello…don’t take what you read in the papers or see on the news to heart.

If I bet £1 for every person who believes that the “Apocalypse” is going to happen, I’d be a millionaire!! Not a bad idea ay?

So to sum it up…

Little person sitting at home – rings media – reports “Apocalypse” – Media publish it – everyone is shocked blah blah – The end of the world day comes – everyone carries on with their lives as normal until the next “report”.

The end = the day you die

Apocalypse = a load of rubbish.
