The most beautiful doll on Earth, Barbie, swept into Sydney celebrating her 50th birthday. A spectacular two-meter tall Barbie Doll Cake, awaited her on Sydney’s sparkling harbour in front of a snowy opera house.   The Barbie-gateaux was gussied-up by Sydney’s glittering mavens of style and class. It was her birthday spot on 11am, Monday, 9th of March, 2009. Barbie simply sparkled for her cake-filled celebration.

After opening her own mega-store in Shanghai store She jetted Downunder for her makeover at the hands of the world’s most stylish-stylists. Barbie stood resplendent in a gold-embroidered gown of luscious sugar frosting, inlaid with shiny silver sprinkles.  On her waist a butter-crème floral addition made this two meter tall gateau creation the more fine. Milling close were Sydney’s girls mixing with the mavens to call-in Barbie’ golden day.

Spectacular Sydney light shone against the shining front flashing on Barbie’s flawless face.  The donned black of the stylists countered the golden and platinum hues of Barbie’s sunny Sydney celebration gowned-gateaux.  Flash cameras highlighted Barbie’s golden locks against a perfect silver sky. The jubilation was palpable at this luscious golden anniversary.

Barbie’s gown was all cake; the top being all Barbie; all beautiful.  For Sydney’s girls a pure taste of Barbie’s birthday excitement would be theirs with the serving of the cake soon after.  So fine were the details of this stunning Australian-styled gown-gateau it seemed tragic to taste.  Imagine an entire cake a delicious golden gown shining with the youth and excitement of Barbie’s Australian creators – totally edible. Electricity buzzed in Barbie’s birthday cake marquee.

Strong bridge and grand opera house set the backdrop for Barbie’s day.  Her skin flawless from years of tender, kind care by her creators – there wasn’t a chance of Her gaining a wrinkle now – so relaxed was the organisation of this guest-listed event.  The sun peeked out lighting her golden gown. What a perfect festival for our beloved Barbie.

Bye-Bye Barbie – Come Back Again, Please

Sadness choked everyone knowing she would be elsewhere soon.  Joy is all she brought and gold was the colour of choice for her Sydney cake-party.  The Aussies did the reigning Queen of Dolls – Barbie – great joy with their golden anniversary gateaux creation of Her.
