The projection of the last film in the series Batman – The Dark Knight Rises – is transformed into blood bath in a cinema in Aurora, a suburb of Denver Colorado. A gunman opened fire on spectators, killing 12 people and injuring 58 – 59 others.
The suspect in the case is a James Holmes. He appeared before the American justice Monday. It was his first public appearance since his arrest: he was placed in solitary confinement for his own protection, said police.

The young man of 24 years, accused of opening fire at the premiere of the film “Batman”, appeared for the first time in public with dyed red hair and eyes lowered, while the judge read him to court documents. Dressed in a combination of prisoner color, he seemed lost and sad, gently stirring the head from right to left and from top to bottom.

The facts :
- Of the 58 – 59 injured, 30 were still hospitalized. Eleven people are in critical condition ;
- Among the victims, 10 people were killed on the spot and two others died after having been transported to the hospital ;
- Almost all of the wounded were met by gunfire. Some of the neat people at the hospital showed no bullet wound, but had suffered other injuries during the panic caused by the fire ;
- Police arrested the suspect in the parking lot behind the movie ;
- The suspect had a knife, an AR-15 assault rifle, a 12-gauge shotgun and a 40 caliber pistol. A second pistol, also size 40, was found on site ;
- During the shooting, the suspect was dressed all in black. He was wearing a gas mask, a bulletproof helmet, ballistic vest and ballistic pants, the same that a throat ;
- The shooter would have dyed his hair red and said “I’m the Joker”, the famous character and enemy of Batman.

We cannot tell that this men was not inspired by the Joker, in the movies of Batman. It’s a prove that the movie can influence the thinking of the people !
