Yes, ladies and gentlemen, the unthinkable has finally been done by one boy… the marriage of man and machine!
The marriage of a man and a boy, finally has been completed…
Last November 22, a Japanese boy in Guam married his long-time virtual girlfriend Nene Anegasaki from a dating game for a portable gaming system. The boy who was a forum user on a popular Japanese forum site (2ch), streamed live his wedding over at Nico Nico Doga, a popular Japanese Video Portal wherein the user can post comments and annotations. Most of the annotations in the live video marriage of the couple that aired on November 22, were filled with applause and wishes from fellow forum users, friends, colleagues and otaku (anime lovers) alike. In few other threads, the reactions were mixed as forums posted comments telling the groom that he “failed at life” or that “he needs a real wife”, while others wish him well on his new marriage with Nene Anegasaki. The Honeymoon which was also in Guam has some photos of the couple having fun in the sand. The boy, always carrying his red portable system where his virtual bride is whenever they have fun. He “took it (his relationship with Nene) to the next level” and so began his decision to marry the virtual girl of his dreams.

Nene Anegasaki (Video game Character)
The Video game character, Nene Anegasaki from a popular dating simulator called “Love Plus”, is featured as one of the primary characters that you can have a “Virtual Relationship” with. Due to the innovation of the portable Nintendo DSi Console, players are able to commune, interact, and talk with one of the three “Date-able” characters in the game. Due to it’s popularity with heartbroken folk, otaku or basically “people who wanted to try something new sans the heartbreak and hurt of a real relationship”.
