A humorous comment on the death of Britain’s most expensive sheet.
I think, it is only fair, that, as a Man in Wales I lead the commemorations of Britain’s most expensive sheep. Sold for £128,00 and fathering children worth 1 million. Tophlll Joe was certainly special sheet, and will be remembered fondly.
Some of Joe’s favorite hobbies revolved around the consumption of grass. In which field he became quite an expert. He enjoyed many a competitive sport, including fencing, squash (mainly Beatles) and table tennis, His endeavors into philosophy brought accusations of wooly thinking, but he was always willing to chop down any herd thinking.
Of course, the main think that he shall be remembered for is his skills as a ladies man. In which he was far from sheepish, and was able to knit together all sorts of tell stories to woo the ladies.
His owner led the tribute, saying that : “”He had particularly good characteristics. He was active right up until the end” (http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/scotland/north_east/8191563.stm) a record that we can all hope to emulate. Although sometimes he was difficult, it was trotting through this adversity that made him top dog. OR sheep, in fact.
