Bunny Attack Not Bias Crime couldn’t make it up.

Do you want to know what police had to spend time investigating earlier this week when they should have been out there catching real criminals?

They were determining the following:

“There was no bias behind an attack on a 5-foot-tall inflatable pink Easter bunny in the New York suburbs, police said Thursday.”

Yup, they had to waste their time making sure that someone’s reason for “attacking” an inflated bunny had nothing to do with some kind of racial or religious bias.

What is most troubling is that the owners of the bunny were worried not that the attacker had something against Catholics or Easter, but that they had something against Hispanics.

Yeah, that makes tons of sense.  If I want people to know I don’t like their ethnicity I beat the crap out of blow-up bunnies, too.
