Police are still seeking leads in the case.
In Alameda County, California a real-estate investor and activist and his wife
were slain in their country club home. It is believed they were beaten and that could likely be
a contributing factor to the deaths, but it isn’t known what the main cause was.
According to the San Francisco Chronicle their bodies were discovered a week later.
It is believed that the couple had just returned from a dinner engagement when they were attacked.
The police are still seeking leads in the case and it is not clear whether there are any suspects at this time.
Also unclear is the motive behind the slayings. According to my sources the best lead in the case is a Camaro, though authorities will not say what link the car has to the case.
Ernest Scherer, Jr. and his wife lived in the Pleasanton area.
Despite the fact that no motive has been established,
speculation abounds as to what led to the deaths as Scherer was an outspoken Republican activist, as well as a poker player, and was recalled in 1990 by the San Ramon Valley school district, he was an active critic of the School district as well.
Needless to say, the possibilities point in any number of directions.
