China and Product Safety

With the recent recalls of over three million toys due to lead based paint, have the American public turned from using China made products for good? This last Christmas season parents paid better attention to what they bought their child to play with. According to toy store owners parents were actually looking and asking for products made in America.

Are people taking product safety in China overboard? The answer is simple and its no! Americans have the right to know that the product they are using is safe for them and their children. They have the right to choose what products they give their children and if they want to be 100% sure that the product is safe they need to use an American made product.

The big picture here is that the problem should have been realized sooner than it was. Why didn’t the people we elect into office and pay to do a job enforce some safety standards to protect the children of this country? We seem to care more about global warming than we do about our children who are the future.
