A UK-based study has found that coffee drinkers are more likely to feel the presence of dead people.

The study was conducted on 200 students,  their caffeine intake was today fight was found that those with a maximum consumption reported seeing a hearing thinks that were physically not present.

The high caffeine users that is those who consumed 7 cups or more of coffee per day but three times more prone to see dead people than those whose catching intake was less than one cup daily.

The study was conducted by The Durham University, according to them when the body is under stress it releases a hormone called ” cortisol”. In response to added stress this hormone is released for those who have recently had coffee. This extra boost of cortisol is the reason for the hallucination. But according to co-author Dr Charles Fernyhough a different interpretation can be given as that the students were more prone to her hallucinations used coffee to overcome these experiences.

However the research is still going on and more work is needed before any definite relation can be established.
