Global warming has become an international issue. It has caused the rise of the sea level, along with the resultant effects on world weather and ENSO (The El Niño Southern Oscillation) event. Since 1876, there have been over twenty ENSO events (MOE-UNDP, 1998) being reported within 127 years.

Bird- 1: Did you have a good trip?
Bird- 2: No, the weather was terribly hot…
The weather condition has become relatively dry. Forest fire becomes severe in the dry season, particularly when the trade wind inversion with its large-scale subsidence prevails over parts of the dry regions. In the past, forest fires occurred in 1982-1983, 1991-1992, 1994-1995, 1997-1998, 1999 and 2002 due to the increase of drought.

Earth: I’ve been very sick. Doctor says I’ve 2 holes on top and beneath my head. Please help me to get out of this nightmare! I don’t want to get myself burned with the UV light from the sun. Please help me save the environment or else, I’ll die soon…
Please protect and save our environment! My suggestions are: walking, cycling instead of driving; use fuel efficient cars, make sure you keep your tires full every week and use public transports to reduce poisonous gas being released to the air; use biodegradable, recycled bag while shopping and buy products that are made from recycled items; go for green by planting trees; buy local fresh food but avoid purchasing frozen food; eat less meat to reduce the release of methane gas that contributes to air pollution; don’t waste your food (think that one meal for the rich is equivalence to half year’s meal of the poor); encourage talks in environmental issues; use environmentally friendly and energy efficient electrical appliances and save your home energy by turning off the appliances when they’re not in used.

Gentleman-1: I used to spend a lot of money when my financial was good. I bought diamond rings for my girl friend, made payment with many credit cards, purchased many gold in bars, spend much money on purchasing luxurious cars and exclusive home, and I invested much money in shares. I never expect that all these things have gone due to the slowdown of the economy. I’ve nothing left with me now…
Dog-2: From now on, he must start to deposit his money and use it wisely…Hey, gentleman, don’t expect what the government will do for you. You should now appreciate a good virtue of thrifty…
In the past, Americans have a relatively low deposit rate as compared to their spending rate. In contrast to America, Japan, India, China and Russia have a higher rate of deposit than the spending rate. In the international commerce, America has a huge deficit, in which the figure is far bigger than Japan and China. Most Americans used to spend a lot on unnecessary items. The economy crisis is a good lesson to teach us to use our money wisely and appropriately.

I’m sorry to say that you’ve been laid off.
Please be calm and spiritedly strong if you were laid off. Never ever go for the choice of committing suicide!! Think that there’re still other companies seeking a suitable candidate to fill in. Being employed is blessed, but if you’re not employed, you still can be self-employed. Don’t limit your survival in a narrow scope just like a frog which is trapped at the bottom of the well seeing the world is only as big as the mouth of the well. How sad!!!

Frustrating man: I’m disappointed with my life…I want to end up my life. …
Undeniably, our life throws each of us a lot of curves. Life is described as being “born Vs death”, “freedom Vs responsibility”, and “comfort Vs affliction”. No one on this earth can tell you that they go through life without running into problems or obstacles. Though some of these problems or obstacles can be painful, but what’s important is how you face them with courage and confidence. If you think negatively, you can become ineffective in dealing with them. You can think positively by considering them as a blessing in life as they’re good teachers to teach you the real face of life and destiny (quoted from my previous article entitled The secrets of youth, health and longevity: how to live healthily to 100 or beyond [page 20])
It’s saddened me to learn that a suicide tragedy happened in Wilmington, California on January 28, 2009. If you know someone who is depressed due to the loss of job, layoff or debt, please comfort them! Please think twice before committing suicide. Your loss will affect your family members and anyone who knows you some time in their lives. Don’t make commit suicide as your last solution towards your hopeless life. Let’s face this icy situation with courage and passion. Think that tomorrow will become better!

Gentleman-1: Do you mind if I smoke?
Woman-2: …???…
The cigarette or tobacco that you smoke contains more than 4,000 chemicals which are found to cause adverse health effect as many of them are highly carcinogenic in nature. In fact, heavy smokers have a significant increased in the occurrence of hypertension, atherosclerosis (blood vessels become thickening gradually and finally causing vascular sclerosis) and heart disease which may cause sudden death. In fact, smoking can reduce 8 years from your life span. (quoted from my previous article entitled The secrets of youth, health and longevity: how to live healthily to 100 or beyond [page 17])

Monster: Hey, you human, welcome to the planet of Mars!!
If one day our earth was destroyed, will human make a home in the Mars?

Fish-1: Hey, Nemo, what happened to you? What’re those sharp pointed and long sticks that are attached on your head????
Fish 2: I’m a new cloning fish…
Fish-1: ……????
In the near future, these animal clones might be genetically altered to produce human body parts. And it sounds like scientists have gone too far away from the perspective of humanity. Will this clone be a way-out science-fiction play? Well, this is not a fiction in a reality. Instead, it’s already happened and will happen very often in the future, which I’m sure will spark a controversy debate. What would you say then? Will you allow this nightmare to happen? (quoted from my previous article entitled OMF! Baffling creatures).

Mr. Sausage: Hey, Ma’am Barrel, you’ve a very special outlook ya!
Ma’am Barrel: It’s not surprising. I’m just one of the outcomes of human-animal hybrid embryo…hmmm….????
To what extent shall we allow this human-animal hybrid embryo to be part of our lives? What will the human become with the creation of these part-human and part-animal embryos? Is this moral in terms of human rights, human dignity, and human pride? (quoted from my previous article entitled The first creation of human-animal hybrid embryo).

Client-1: Here is some big money for our project…
Big Boss-2: No, return the money…I won’t take illegal money….
Stop bribing! Please be a good and clean government/ employer!!!

Man-1: We must respect our parents and we must also take good care of their health and living conditions.
Boy-2: I’m regret that I used to scold and yell at my parents…..I used to abandon their existence too…. Now, they’ve gone…It’s too late for me to repay their kindness….
In most parents’ heart, children are highly praised and respected. However, some of us may have forgotten their existence. Nowadays, more and more parents are abandoned in the elderly home without care and love from their own children. (quoted from my previous article entitled How often do we think about our parents?). There’s a real story on how unfaithfulness towards the parents was punished (read more on my previous article entitled unfaithfulness brings you to hell).
It’s not hard to have a good relationship with your parents. Get your reference here: How to have a good relationship with your parents and Proper moral teachings lead the way to better ties. It’s our obligation to care of them because their love is priceless (read on my previous article entitled A mother’s love is priceless).

Don’t stay up late. If you stay up very late (3a.m. or more), your cells, muscles and tissues age 10 years faster than their actual ages. Make sure that you stop all the activities you’re doing before 12 midnight. (partially quoted from my previous article entitled The secrets of youth, health and longevity: how to live healthily to 100 or beyond [page 14]).

Scientist -1: Why are you crying????
Little boy- 2: My Bobby Doo has turned into a test tube experimental….(crying in frustration and sadly).
Whenever we take medication to maintain our lifespan, how often do we think of those dead animals that were sacrifice during the experiments? Whenever we enjoy looking ourselves in front of the mirror by putting up beauty and cosmetic products all over our body, how often do we think of the sufferings animals had to bear on? (quoted from my previous article entitled Human cruelness and animal nightmare)

Don’t fight with violence! Stop the war! Let’s stand up for peace but not war!!!
The wars in Gaza as well as in Iraq and Afghanistan have taken away many innocent lives!!!! Do you know how scary the war is? The answer can be found in my previous article entitled Scary nightmare: the past wars.

A lady-1: I think he’s goin’ to ask you to dance…
A gentleman-2: Happy Valentine Day, my baby!
I’ve a card for you, my dear friend. You can retrieve this valentine card at True love to all my lover. Have a Happy Valentine Day!!!

Little boy -1: I’m afraid I’ve lost that book you lent me.
Father- 2: Oh, what a pity!
Our life is like an unknown and adventurous ocean. Many have submerged into the ocean due to the loss of faith. How pity!!!
Do you want to live longer? (Read more on my previous article entitled The secrets of youth, health and longevity: how to live healthily to 100 or beyond [page 18]). Make sure you bring along your faith wherever you go for the purpose of living longer and to deepen your existing spiritual responsibility.

Hey, you guy, please don’t over drink. It’ll kill you and do you no good.
According to The secrets of youth, health and longevity: how to live healthily to 100 or beyond(page 16), unhealthy drinks are main risk factors for obesity, hypertension, heart disease, diabetes, and cerebrovascular disease. Excessive drinking can bring negative impact to your health too.

I used to complain about my home or apartments and spend much time and money on making them comfortable. Now, I must realise that how blessing I am as I still have a roof over my head. They’re those who don’t have an address or a place they call their home (partially quoted from my previous article entitled Rainbow beneath the horizon).

Respect those who had educated or will educate you as an honorable teacher, even they may be just a small kid. Never be rude to your teacher. It’s not right for students to attack the teacher with the weapons or sharp things. It’s also not right to kiss the teacher but is a façade instead, with the aim to win a praise and favoritism. So, dear students or former students as well as the parents, please respect the teacher. As with the greatness of the mother’s love, teacher plays a significant role to educate us to become a knowledgeable person and a good citizen of a country.
As for me, Triond’s personnel and editors are my marvelous teachers. And both my sisters, Judy Sheldon and BC Doan are my good teachers too. Indeed, they’re important people who brought me success at Triond . I’m also not forgetting my foreign language teachers and those who had taught me from kindergarten up to university to grow into a knowledgeable person. Without these excellent teachers, I think I won’t be success in my life. As I’m still learning, I admit that I make many mistakes, so please correct my errors. Thank you, my beloved teachers!

Have you ever wondered what people eat around the world? While looking at these scary, unusual and bizarre delicacies, do you still feel hungry?
Lastly, I hope you like my hand-drawn cartoons. Using my imagination, I’ve outlined certain issues that require our attention into a series of visualized cartoons. They’re not just for entertainment instead, but most importantly, you know the messages that I wish to convey for each issue we are confronting with in this competitive and modern world.
