Guinness Sued After Crowning the Most Suing Human

When you are naming someone as the person who has filed the most lawsuits in the history of mankind, you might kind of expect them to do what in response? If you guessed sue, then you would be right.
Jonathan Lee Riches also known as Irving Picard, Lawsuit Zeus, Johnny Sue-nami, the litigator crusader, the duke of lawsuits, Sue-per-man, etc… filed an injunction in court this week to stop Guinness Book of World Records from including him in their publications as “the person who has filed the most lawsuits in the history of mankind. Jonathan Lee Riches is claiming that Guinness Book of World Records is planning to publish false information about just how many lawsuits he has filed, and that they have no right to publish his “legal masterpieces.” He also objects to being called names such as: the duke of lawsuits, Johnny Sue-nami, and Patrick Ewing of suing.
Jonathan is currently incarcerated in the Federal Medical Center at Lexington, Kentucky for wire fraud. He is scheduled to stay there until 2012, but claims: “When I get out of prison, I’m going to start a Lawsuit 101 shop and teach Americans how to file pro se lawsuits.” I guess if anyone could teach a class on lawsuits, it would be someone that has been involved in over 4,000 of them! According to court records, Mr. Riches has filed over one thousand suits in federal district courts across the United States just since 2006.
I think even more astonishing is the number of famous and outlandish defendants he has dragged into court. In April of 2008, he filed a request for a restraining order against Grand Theft Auto and associates claiming that they are the ones that put him in prison by contributing to him stealing identities. Oh, and the sex, drugs, and violence also offended him. Included in Mr. Riches extensive list of defendants are: Bill Belichick (New England Patriots coach ,) Martha Stewart, President George W. Bush, Jeff Gordon (NASCAR driver,) Perez Hilton (blogger,) Britney Spears, Michael Vick (former NFL player,) Benazir Bhutto, The Immigration and Naturalization Service, Pervez Musharraf, Somali pirates, etc.. He has also wasted the time of the courts with people or entities that are not even available to be sued such as: Adolf Hitler’s National Socialist Party, The 13 tribes of Israel, Plato, Nostradamus, James Hoffa, Buddhist Monks, the Lincoln Memorial, the Eiffel Tower, the USS Cole, the Garden of Eden, etc.. etc.. etc…
Most all of these lawsuits have been dismissed as farcical, frivolous, malicious, etc.. But, I guess we will see if he finally lucks up with his suit against Guinness.

Great job, Jo. That is a funny story, but also serious. This guy wastes a lot of the courts’ time and taxpayer funds.

On a more serious note, though, I’m concerned about one of this guy’s lawsuits finding the ‘right’ judge and being upheld! It’s kind of like the lottery…eventually you might hit it big!
I remember years ago being told that anyone can sue anyone…that I can sue you for your elephant trampling my flowers even though you may not own an elephant and I may not have any flowers!
I agree with Phil Senters that this guy is wasting tax dollars and court time that could be put to better use!

Nice article Jo. I hope that we just have this “nut” locked-up in Kentucky, and he is not actually from this state. But i wouldn’t be totally surprised if he was. We have a lot of people running around in our state who are not playing with a full deck. Well done friend.

This totally cracks me up and it kind of pisses me off, sorry for the text.
It’s people like this that are trying to take down anyone trying to make a living. It’s people like this that want to be known for sitting on their butts, not smart enough to accomplish anything except stealing money from others.
