A news story about an Italian hotel which offered holidays online at a cut down price by mistake.
A hotel which is situated near Venice has made a costly mistake after advertising it’s rooms on line for just a fraction of what they are worth. The rooms should have been charged at around 150 euros per night.
It’s reported that approximately 230 people made the most of the extra special offer and some booked a stay which would last around six days at the hotel which is called the Crowne Plaza.
The Intercontinental Hotels Group says people who booked at the price which was published on line by mistake will still be able to have their holiday at the price they paid.
The mistake was apparently made by the hotel groups head office which is based in Atlanta, Georgia.
Speaking to the BBC, Monica Smith from the hotel firm said:
“Although a pricing error, IHG is committed to honouring the 1-cent rate for guests who have a valid confirmation,”
