In Search of The Homeless Man

On this Xmas eve and feeling the Xmas sprit I wanted to follow out my giving to the homeless man plan for the holiday. I purchased a large warm outdoor blanket. I was going to give to him and say merry xmas. This is the first Xmas I have been home for the holidays in three years. So it is the perfect time to carry out my plan. I arrived at the park and the serene setting remains unchanged and exactly as I remembered it.  I looked at the area where our guy used to be all the time. Funny part was there was a guy sitting in exact spot  with a bicycle with a bag tied on it. As I got closer realized it was not him. I asked the guy if he knew if the homeless guy still lives in the park. He responded and said he had been gone for a while now and is now in a program and finally off the streets.  That was good news. I saw him a couple times recently and he seemed to be cleaned up. Must have been revisiting his previous home at the park.  It is so quiet and serene there. It is not a busy park, just a few visitors at any given time. Guess that is what makes it so apealing. It is a good feeling that the system does work in some cases. That poor guy was there for a very long time, enduring all challenges of the Florida weather. Merry Xmas to all you readers.
