81 year old man having heart attack in the hospital parking lot and no one helps.
In Halifax Nova Scotia, there was a 81 year old man with previous heart conditions. He wasn’t feeling too comfortable so his wife, also with a heart condition, rushed him to the hospital. The man gets a heart attack in the parking lot approximately 10 metres away and the hospital had told the elderly woman to bring the man inside herself or call 911.
The man was 10 metres away from the hospital and they’re telling an old woman to carry him in? Does anybody else see something wrong in this? Can’t they just bring out a few guys and take him in? Seriously he was about to die and no one cared about him or the woman.
This is not all they called the ambulance and staff had told her that they needed to PAY for the ride there. So apparently it was a policy that physicians and nurses could not handle patients because paramedics can “remove patient’s more safely”. What kind of messed up world do we live in? Where policies are greater than human lives.
Especially since this happened in Canada, I thought Canada was supposed to have good or decent healthcare, it doesn’t seem like it to me anymore. They’re lucky the man did not die out there or this would be a greater news line than it already is.
Crazy world.
