A man strangled and abused his wife and blamed it on a ridiculous reason. I was so shocked by the reason that I wanted to share this story with you.
The news
A man named Michael West (41) was arrested for battery, strangulation, disorderly conduct and resisting arrest. Michael West was charged with domestic abuse for strangling and abusing his wife.
Michael West told the Wisconsin police that a ghost attacked his wife and was responsible for her injuries. When the police arrived, they found Michael’s wife Rebecca crying and bleeding from the attack.
Rebecca told the police that Michael punched her several times in her face and attempted to strangle her. She was at a point where her vision was altered and she thought she was going to faint. Michael was intoxicated and yelling at the police. He claimed that Rebecca fell and that was how she got the bruises.
When the police asked Michael about the bruises on Rebecca’s neck, he told them a ghost did it. Michael resisted arrest at first, but he was eventually taken into custody. Rebecca told the police that the fight started because their house is about to go on foreclosure.
My thoughts
Michael West obviously needs to stop drinking if it causes him to strangle and abuse his wife. He also needs to stop drinking if he thought a ghost was the one who strangled Rebecca. I can only imagine what the police were thinking when he told them that a ghost strangled his wife. They must have thought he was crazy.
I wonder if Rebecca will press charges against Michael. Hopefully she won’t let him get away with attacking her like this. If she lets him get away with it, who knows what will happen the next time he attacks her.
What are your thoughts on this man strangling and abusing his wife? Do you think he should be punished for attacking her? Do you believe that a ghost strangled Rebecca?
He must have plans to make ghosts out of himself and his wife. She needs to leave before he succeeds.
I agree with Sharifa and you. She needs to get as far from him as possible. Foreclosure is upsetting but his action is not helping!
I think Mr. West needs some time alone with his thoughts in a prison cell.
On the other hand, this is exactly what would happen in a horror movie, and the ghost ALWAYS gets away with it!

If she stays with him, the problem is her. She can’t control his actions, but, she can control hers.
Terrible news. Arrangements must be made to make sure this wife is safe.
OMG! This man is delusional and mentally unstable. This is horrific! This woman needs to put a restraining order and get away from him ASAP before something worse happens

Any woman who suffers abuse should leave that home. I know it’s hard to do when you have children, but it is the only thing to do.

I don’t think he has a ghost of a chance that the police believed a word he said. Here in New Zealand we have places women can go and stay if they ar abused.
She needs to attend counselling classes.
