An army of mice are reported to have attempted to snatch a house cat and carry it away…
A woman residing outside of Plymouth in England has claimed her cat was “carried away” by an army of mice.
Cheryl Ladd, aged 48 and based in a small and isolated cottage in the South West of England claims her beloved pet cat “Judy” was attacked and abducted by at least fifty mice.
The alleged incident took place in September 2009. Ms. Ladd and divorced with no children, says she woke one night to a disturbance occurring in the the next room.
“I sleep close to the lounge. In fact I am in the next room”, the blue haired woman claims. “It was approximately 3.00 am and I heard scratching and my cat racing about.”
Ms. Ladd claims that her pet cat would often play at night and would on occasion knock items over such as ornaments. However, events took a turn for the worse when it was found by the single woman that her beloved feline friend was in actual fact “at war” with an army of house mice.
“I have suffered with those little rascals for a few years”, moaned the woman. “Poor Judy would have a torrid time with the mice. There were just too many for her to cope with.”
HELP
The woman claims that traps did not work. “They caught a few, but those mice are cute and intelligent. Everything I tried didn’t work.”
Cheryl enlisted the help of a friend’s cat but it wasn’t long before that cat went “mysteriously missing”.
“I shudder where my friend’s cat disappeared to”, said Ms. Ladd. “After what I witnessed with those mice anything could be possible. I believe they ganged up and abducted Judy’s friend.”
THE ORDEAL
“I remember walking into my lounge after hearing a terrible screeching noise that was obviously Judy”, the woman goes on to say. “I couldn’t believe my eyes when I saw at least fifty mice carrying Judy across the lounge and trying to push her body through a small gap in the skirting board.”
According to the distraught cat owner, the cat was highly distressed and powerless to protect itself or escape. “It was like these mice had super powers. Judy was powerless to escape from their grasp.”
At this point Ms. Ladd grabbed a brush nearby and charged at the mice. “They just froze when they all turned to look up at me. They just dropped the cat where it was and scarpered when I struck them with the brush.”
The cat apparently bolted from the scene, fur up. The mice quickly and in seconds disappeared into the skirting. She even thought she heard one of the mice shout “F**k you.”
The woman described what happened but was steadfast about being the one in charge of the house. ”I got them and made them see they can’t just carry my poor Judy away”, said the woman. “If they dare come back they won’t know how to deal with me. I’d like to see them try and carry me away-especially with my broom.”
Animal psychologist Professor Mickey Von-Trap explained that strange animal behaviour was quite common. “Of course this sounds like a one-off occurrence”, the bearded Professor states. “Magnetism could have effected them as deep lay lines can cause all sorts of strange stuff. “
The whereabouts of Ms. Ladd’s friend’s cat are still undetermined. “I shudder to think what lies after those skirting boards”, the woman shivers. “But thank the Lord Judy wasn’t going to find out.”
