Moon Colonization

The statement people living on the moon can sound pretty science fiction. Or is it? Well, a lot of money was spent on sending a few people there, so how much would it cost to colonize? Here are some pros and cons with living on the moon.

Pros

OK, so let’s say that the moon was colonized. Why live there?

• Some astronauts might have made it there in three days. Maybe short travel for another planet.
• The communication delay is about three seconds. So talking on the phone might be ok.
• There could be more space
• The moon could be a good observatory point
• The moon could also be a good fuel stop for rockets

Cons

What if it wasn’t so good?

• The temperatures could be a problem
• Some gases are not found there or are little of
• The low gravity could have effects towards human health
• Crops could be hard to grow
• Moon dust could be a problem as it includes problems such as maybe abrasiveness and it may be toxic
