St. Mary of Assumption Catholic Church was almost greeted by a nude man in Bay City, Michigan. During the morning of February 20, 2009, calls to 911 alerted police to a nude man outside the church where a funeral Mass was going on. The man told police he was having troubles with his parents and wanted to go to church. After verbally abusing the police, the man was tasered and then transported to the hospital for treatment. Police said the man wouldn’t be facing any charges.
In Nebraska, a family of a 86 year old received a bill for over $1000 in phone sex charges. A bill for a credit card in her husband’s name, which passed away 20 years ago, arrived with the charges. Her family disputed the bill and states that it was identity theft. The charges were removed. A month later, another bill arrived with more charges. Since then the credit card has been dropped.
A man in Arkansas gets caught after forgetting to take the gun out of a bag of nickels he was exchanging for cash. A man walked into a bank with a bag full of nickels to exchange them for cash when the teller noticed a gun in the bag. She informed her supervisor who called the police. After the police questioned the man, they got a search warrant for his house where they found several stolen items including eight guns and a coin collection where the nickels came from.
A inmate in Billings, Montana is suing the county in a $10 million suit because the jailers interfered with his satanic religious practices. The lawsuit states the staff took his religious medallion and his “Satanic Bible.” It also claims they ridiculed and punished him for beliefs include placing Christian natured cards under his cell door which said Jesus was ready to save and accept him. The inmate is serving a three year sentence for felony drug possession after being caught with 15 grams of methamphetamine.
