Donna Simpson, of Old Bridge NJ has put herself on a diet, but this isn’t just any diet.

The 42-year-old mother of two now weighs 602 lbs and she hopes that her 12,000 calorie a day diet will put her at 1000 lbs in the next two years. A far cry from the 2,000 calorie max recommended for the average woman. Despite having to use a scooter for her mobility and already wearing 7XL clothes, Simpson claims that she is perfectly healthy and capable of taking care of her two young children. Her boyfriend, 150-pound Philippe Gouamba, is encouraging her to eat more and supporting her quest to become the fattest woman alive.

I am sure your next question is probably the same as mine was….what type of job can a 600 lb immobile woman have to support a 12,000 calorie a day food habit? Simpson claims that her grocery bill averages $750.00 per week and proclaims that her favorite food is sushi…she can eat 70 pieces! So, what job can afford her this luxury? She claims that a website where people pay to watch her eat, parade around in bikinis, etc.. supports her diet.

Simpson recently told FOX News that she loves having people watch her eat, “It makes people happy, and I’m not harming anyone.” But, many doctors and health organizations are disagreeing with Mrs. Simpson. Dr. Manny Alvarez, says that if Simpson goes through with her plan, she will put her self at high risk for : diabetes, heart disease, pulmonary embolism, stroke, immobility, breathing problems, congestive heart failure and death. Imagine what the health care cost of these diseases will be for the taxpayers of New Jersey. News reports have not mentioned if Simpson has medical insurance or not. I would assume not…considering her unemployment, already morbidly obese weight, and food expenses. If she does by chance have insurance, I very seriously doubt that they will continue to cover her now that her diet goals are public. So, boyfriend, Philippe, will not be the only one supporting her; soon we all may be… willingly or not!

Ironically, the current fattest woman record is held by another New Jersey native, who weighed an incredible 1,800 pounds when she died at age 49 in 2008.
