Ah, the Republicans have their newest subject to bitch about. The evil fascist Liberal Obamanation flagship Newsweek has published a picture of everyone’s favorite conservative princess in something less that a conservative outfit. Cries of sexism have already begun to erupt; by morning Rush Limbaugh and his clones will have people thinking it was Obama’s idea, and that he hates women.

Come on, guys. This is the Bimbo you went out and snagged as a last ditch effort to stop the Obama train, hoping to parade her around enough to woo some of Hillary’s core base. You pranced her around on television for all of us to see, somehow not expecting us to realize along the way that she is borderline retarded.

You guys are upset because she’s portrayed this way? Stop it. She is a bimbo. If you guys are gonna pick a fight for the week, does it have to be this one? It drives me nuts when she’s in the news. For all of their faults, Rush and his crew are far too smart to believe a word they spew while extolling her virtues; it reminds me of the Father’s day my then 5 and 8 year old kids made me pancakes… when they asked how they were (God bless ‘em, they were horrible) i gritted my teeth and lied my Daddy ass off.

You guys made this mess; don’t get mad at the world for mocking it. No one’s attacking women; just this retarded one.

In Redding California, a now seventeen-year-old girl has been charged with the involuntary manslaughter of a friend that died of alcohol poisoning in December of 2008. She is also being charged with providing alcohol to a minor and providing alcohol to a minor that resulted in great bodily injury/death.

Shelby Lyn Allen, age 17, and another friend, age 14, went to the unnamed 16 year old defendants house. After the parents went to sleep, the girls played a drinking game with vodka. Shelby drank 16-17 shots while text messaging other friends about how much she was drinking. The 14-year old girl apparently vomited for a period of time, passed out, and was helped to bed. Meanwhile, Shelby became ill and was placed by the commode. The defendant sent a text message to one of Shelby’s friends that had previously helped her through a binge drinking episode, but the defendant stopped asking for his help after he said that he would have to tell his parents where and why he was coming to her house. The defendant then went to bed. The next morning Shelby was found dead… still propped up against the commode. The coroner found that Shelby’s blood alcohol level was 0.33%.

It is alleged that the defendant, 16 at the time, provided Shelby with the alcohol. Although the media is reporting that the parents of the defendant frequently allowed their daughter to drink alcohol to learn moderation, authorities have not brought charges against the parents, since they reportedly told the girls there was to be no drinking on this particular night.

During the trial, District Attorney Eric Anderson argued that the defendant did not reach out to her parents, other adults, or friends that Shelby was in a “perilous predicament.” Anderson makes a rather simple argument that the defendants parents obviously allowed drinking; so, all she needed to do was wake her parents up and alert them that Shelby was ill. The defense argued that the defendant did not know that her friend was in danger and did not know the symptoms of alcohol poisoning. The judge is scheduled to make a ruling late next week.

My Opinion:

There are laws in place that prohibit underage drinking for a reason. These children often do not understand the implications to themselves when it comes to drinking. Obviously, Shelby didn’t understand the implications or she wouldn’t have drank to the point of alcohol poisoning. So, if teens don’t understand the implications to themselves, how are they supposed to understand the implications for someone else drinking alcohol?

How many teenagers could tell the difference between drinking too much, vomiting, passing out, and waking up with a hangover vs. the signs and symptoms of alcohol poisoning?

How do you charge a 16 year old underage girl with giving another 17 year old underage girl alcohol?

Prosecuting this teenage girl is essentially sending the message to other teens that you should be responsible enough to know and report the signs of someone that has drank to the point they might have alcohol poising, but there isn’t any personal responsibility to know that if you yourself choose to drink too much, you might get alcohol poisoning.

Shelby sadly opted to drink too much. It would have been life saving if her friends would have recognized that she had alcohol poisoning and needed medical attention. However, the defendant not recognizing and reporting Shelby’s condition isn’t what actually killed Shelby. Shelby choosing to drink excessively is what killed her. Her parents and the community are obviously looking for someone to blame instead of using Shelby’s decision to drink too much as a message that underage drinking is dangerous and one can not depend on others around them to always be wiser than they are.

A short article on the British fatalities in Afghanistan.

I’m going to weigh in on this one.

The deaths are unnecessary, but to be honest now we are there we would cause a lot more problems for ourselves and actually insight war if we pulled out now.

Ultimately this will turn into a world war, that is just a matter of time. except to be honest I expect it will most likely turn into an overtly religious war rather than anything else.

The weapons of mass distruction (nuclear, chemical or otherwise) in most cases are detectible, and as a result, would only be used under extreme circumstances by either side.

At a time when we are looking at removing a large amount of capacity around our own WMDs, there is constant talk of other countries increasing their WMD capacity.

Chasey, the regimes may seen evil and kneiving to us, but in most countries this is the norm. We are attacking the countries we currently are attacking purely on the basis of terrorist threat. Of course that doesn’t mean just taliban and al’qeada, but many other extremist terrorist cells that don’t get a mention on a daily basis as they are taken out a lot closer to home.

It’s very rare over recent months that we hear about terrorist raids happening at home, but they happen almost daily taking out people that could cause a lot more damage than just taking out half of London. Physically taking out a few million people doesn’t have a major impact on a countries mental health. They look at things which we rely on. Electricity, Gas, Telephone Lines, Internet, Radio Communications, etc…which would have a much more profound effect on all of us.

Imagine losing the internet, phone lines, television and the radio all at the same time. How would people get the word out about problems and what people need to do? Physicologically it would leave the country in a state of paralisation and a country wide panic would quickly follow. Even the police TETRA radio system is vaunrable thesedays, with masts in easily accessible locations (unlike the old radio systems that required the masts to only be mounted on police buildings.) which means that they could be taken down in a very short space of time with terrible consequences.

Well what do you think?

The Islamo-Fascist Hamas blasted the UN for including the Holocaust in Gazan textbooks.

A few months ago, UNRWA [United Nations Relief and Works Agency], the main UN body that deals with the affairs of Palestinian refugees, decided to include the Holocaust in Gazan textbooks. Hamas stated that including the Holocaust in Gazan textbooks is a war-crime. Hamas Spiritual leader Younis al-Astal wrote in a statement,”I do not exaggerate when I say this issue is a war crime, because of how it serves the Zionist colonizers and deals with their hypocrisy and lies.” He also stated that the including the Holocaust is “marketing a lie and spreading it.”When objecting to teaching the Holocaust in Gazan textbooks, he used the notorious Holocaust denying anti-Semitic term “so-called Holocaust”. He said,”We think it’s more important to teach Palestinians the crimes of the Israeli occupation.”

So, to the screwed up world of Hamas, firing rockets at civilians in Israel for 8 years, committing terrorist attacks even longer, hiding among civilians when sending rockets, and promoting hatred toward the Jews on TVs, the media and schools is not a war-crime, while teaching about the Holocaust is? This makes me say,”What the f**k?! This is the “legitimate resistance” organization that Israel is asked by at least much of the world to negotiate with? Yet Hamas’s apologists and whitewashes will dismiss this, just as they dismiss Hamas’s terrorism, their refusal to recognize Israel’s basic right to exist, and their Islamo-Fascist policies, on the basis that Hamas was democratically-elected. Well, isn’t that lovely? Guess who else was democratically elected? Adolf Hitler!

This just makes me hate Hamas even more. Make no mistake about it. Hamas represents a form of evil. If Hamas is not evil, then I don’t know WHAT THE HECK is evil!

Hamas would rather teach the Palestinians about the “crimes” of the Israeli “occupation”. Yet too bad that the crimes form Hamas’s Islamo-Fascist policies is incomparably worse than anything Israel ever did to the Palestinians. For one thing, form 1967-the Oslo “peace” process, thanks to Israeli policies, the quality of life improved. Under Israeli rule, the Palestinian economy became modernized into the 20th century. The West Bank and Gaza were the fourth-fastest growing economies. Basic necessities such as stoves, refrigerators, electricity and toilets became nearly universal. Televisions also became nearly universal. Israel improved the water supply. Under Israeli rule, universities and public schools were established, a lot of the time with the funding of the Israeli government and/or Jewish donors. Israeli policy also at least nearly exterminated the diseases in the territories. Plus, the Arabs in the territories had better access to health care. So the Israeli “occupation” actually saved Palestinian lives. The roadblocks and other restrictions of movement didn’t even come until the second intifada, when there was a terror uprising on Israel, with more terrorist attacks on Israel than ever before. In fact, after Israel’s victory in the 1967 Six Day War, the restrictions were taken down. Arabs could come into Israel; while Jews could go into the West Bank and Gaza. In fact, the Israeli settlements actually helped the territories economically. Where the settlements were established was where there were more Palestinian shops and more Palestinian homes. The Palestinian businessmen and women saw what was in their business’s interest, not on the ethnic group of the customers or whether it was Jewish or Arab money.

I think you’d get the point. As I said, what Hamas is doing in Gaza is far worse than anything Israel did. After all, a little while before Israel launched Operation Cast Lead, the Al-Hayat reported that Hamas passed a new bill. According to the bill, “drinking to making wine will be subjected to 40 lashes… drinking and harassing the public will be punishable by 40 lashes and three months in jail”. The bill stated that those “engaging in games of chance, offending religious beliefs and defaming others’ character” would also be whipped. That bill also stated that “any Palestinian found guilty of raising a weapon against Palestine in favor of the enemy; countering Palestine’s interests in a negotiation with a foreign government; and placing Palestine’s existence in danger by committing an act of aggression against a foreign country… will be sentenced to death”. You can even see Hamas’s Islamo-Fascist policies here. After being democratically-elected, Hamas tried to shove these Islamo-Fascist policies down the thoats of all of the Palestinians. Since the illegal coup in 2007, Hamas lost power in the West Bank, which remained under the control of Mahmoud Abbas’s Fatah. Hamas used their power in Gaza to impose Islamo-Fascist rule. As a result, Gaza right now is an Islamo-Fascist hell hole.

This just goes to show the hypocritical stupidity behind Hamas’s statements. They claim that it’s more important to teach about Israel’s “crimes” toward the Palestinians; despite the fact that Israel just seeks to defend itself and that Hamas is far worse to the Palestinians. Apologists and whitewashers of Hamas wine about Hamas not getting a chance to govern because of Israel and America. Yet Israel and America [as well as the EU] have sought to get Hamas to end its terrorism, to recognize Israel’s basic right to exist and to get Hamas to choose the course of peace and co-existence with Israel instead of continuing the terror struggle against Israel. Yet Hamas instead chose to continue the terror war on Israel, continued to be opposed to peaceful coexistence with Israel and fired more rockets. Hamas continued to promote hatred of Jews and Israel and continued to promote terrorism against Israel. Hamas still uses their TVs, media and schools to teach call for the murder of Jews, the destruction of Israel and for terrorism on the Jewish state, as well as to call for the establishment of an Islamo-Fascist caliphate. Yet, in the twisted world of Hamas, none of this is a war-crime; but teaching about the Holocaust is. And Israel is expected by much of the world to negotiate with Hamas and to give Hamas a “chance” to govern. It’s like asking the black community to negotiate with the KKK and to give them a “chance” to govern.

Swiss Television homepage thoroughly embarrassed itself over the news over the arrest of Carl Hirschmann, owner of the most renowned celebrity club venue in Zurich. The story started with a rumour reported wrongly, making a follow-up with a retraction of previous information inevitable. Instead of calming things down, they dug themselves in deeper and deeper.

On Wednesday, Swiss Television put up a newsflash on their site “Party King Carl Hirschmann Arrested over Blackmail with Videotapes”. They were taking up a newsflash from Zurich’s local radio station Radio 24 without checking on the facts. While it was correct that Hirschmann had been arrested, a press release by the attorney general denied any connection to blackmail.

Carl Hirschmann owns and runs the celebrity venue Saint Germain. He is one of many self proclaimed celebrities, his only claim on fame being his boast of having had a fling with Paris Hilton and the bank account of his billionaire father, Carl Hirschmann Junior. Confused? His grandfather Carl Hirschmann Senior (ah!) was the founder of Jet Aviation which caters to the airplanes owned by the superrich on this planet.

On Thursday, after the attorney general’s statement, Swiss Television was constrained to publish a correction which appeared under the title “Party Gigolo Carl Hirschmann Arrested”. The comments posted by readers ranged from scathing (referring to the disinformation of the previous day) to the ridiculous (‘from king to gigolo in one day’).

But mainly, the editors were attacked over the use of the word gigolo. In Switzerland, the word gigolo is definitely linked to male sex workers, and readers found it profoundly disturbing that having to retract the allegation of the previous day, the editors persisted in keeping a sexual connotation in the headline even though the attorney general declined to comment. As the article contained reference to an allegation of paedophile charges against Carl Hirschmann several years back (which had been dropped by the attorney general at that time), the objectivity of the writers was doubted in no uncertain terms.

Subsequently, Swiss Television changed the title of the article to “Party Zampano Carl Hirschmann Arrested”. ‘The Great Zampano’ is a fictional figure dealing in illusion, whereby even the illusion he creates is only an illusion; he is finally unmasked as a great fraud. The figure is one of the main characters in Federico Fellini’s film La Strada and was played by Anthony Quinn. You might imagine readers’ comments on the use of this connotation to fraud and illusion. It was definitely going downhill for the editors.

After three hours on the net, the article received its third title: “Party Lion Hirschmann Arrested”. The deviation into the animal kingdom was greeted with ridicule by the readers. They continued to accuse Swiss State Television of Bolshevism, bias, creating a witch hunt, and of passing judgment on hearsay. The general credo was that employees at Swiss Television were living in a constant state of jealousy towards the rich.

The last word belongs to a reader of the site: “I note with great pleasure how much work has gone into this article, as all critical comments have been deleted once again. It is uplifting to find so much industrious work in a state owned institution and makes me proud of paying my television license fees.”

As a postscript, I might add that Carl Hirschmann, unlike Roman Polanski, has been freed on bail against a “considerable” caution.

Why is it that the Conservative Right can consider you to be Un-American because you do not share their views?

I have given this quite a bit of thought and to be honest, I have actually had some real concerns about this type of view from the “Right”. First I have to say that I am a Veteran and I am a very loyal American. I still get a stir of emotions when our National Anthem is performed. And dare I say, I well up when I hear TAPS played. My father is a retired Army officer and is dying due to the Agent Orange fiasco in Viet Nam (Agent Orange finally associated with Parkinson’s, FINALLY). My family has a history of Military enlistment.

I am not sure where this logic originated but I am just a little frustrated of hearing this from the Right. Minnesota’s Rep. Michelle Bachman (just the one that comes to mind, there are many more that can be added to that list) and the others that have followed this type of rhetoric really has to look in to their hearts and see if that is really where they want to go. I can only imagine how many other Veterans have felt like their patriotism has been over looked due to them NOT being on the “Right”.

Over that last few years we have seen the “Right’s” rhetoric become more and more condescending to all others. It is like they have adopted the “If you are not with Us, you are our enemy” policy. Ramming ideology down the “Left’s” throat like it was their calling.

With that being said, I can’t understand why the “Right” is so driven to send more troops to Afghanistan. There seems to be no problem to send our YOUNG soldiers into harms way for a country that has too many internal issues. But since the “Right” has this “Us or Them” mentality, they have no moral issue with them dying to continue their rhetoric.

YES, you guessed it. I am NOT a conservative. I am a pragmatist. At one time I was a big supporter of the Republican party. Until the day the Republican party decided to be my savior and dictate my beliefs. I am not a religious man and do not believe in the divine. Not to say I would ever tell someone else that they should not believe, but in the same breath, I am not a second class citizen because I do not believe. Or am I wrong? Has this become another Religous state???? I really hope someone will really look at this and realize what it is. I do not like that ideology could dictate our views and that tolerance is now considered obsolete.

Just take this Tea Bagger revolution. I wish an investigative reporter would infiltrate the Tea Bag Express and find out the TRUE motivation for this type of movement. I will not sit here and say that know one part of this movement does not have real concerns and views. But if you had to ask me to speculate I would have to look at the “Us and Them” mentality mixed with a large amount of prejudice. Prejudice to the “Left”, minorities, etc….

Wouldn’t you think someone of good conscience on the “Right” would step up and put down this Right Wing witch hunt mentality. Since no one has said anything, you have seen the up rise of the lunatic fringe to accepted as part of the main stream. I am fearful of them in my community, my work place and YES my Government. Pretty soon if you are not a Good Christian Right Conservative, you will be considered a second class citizen and if not careful, we can be rounded up as dissidents. Think about it… HARD people. There is nothing wrong with being conservative but in that same breath there is nothing wrong with being Liberal either.

We are all Americans and should have a code of conduct as the leader of the Free World but becareful that we don’t lose part of the world….. FREE. Not just for the Right.

But do you really need the damn thing?

A great deal of fuss has been made the last few days about the unavailability of the H1N1 (Swine Flu) vaccine. For whatever reason, the manufacturing companies aren’t getting it out fast enough. The whole situation has gotten completely out of control; here is why.

To start with, If you are one of the people complaining…. unless you have a pre existing medical condition that makes you a greater risk, you are an idiot. I just got done with H1N1, as did my three children. My 11 year old has a good solid case of Asthma, and my youngest is only three. We were sick for a good four days; sniffles, achiness, a bit of puke, a lot of poop. Some fever. In other words, we had the damn flu. We treated using extraordinary experimental treatments… blankets, sleep, juice, thera flu, and chicken noodle soup. In 999 cases out of 1000, this is the flu. The hospital in our town of 20,000 has, in fact, stopped even bothered testing for the thing. Why? Because, again… It’s just the damn flu!

But for some reason, Our president (who, for the record, I agree with far more often than not; this is not an Obama bashing piece) in his infinite wisdom, decided to stand up and declare it a ‘National Emergency’, thus sending millions of boneheaded hypochondriac Americans into a vaccine craving frenzy. The logic of this eluded me. All it has done, as far as I can see, is create still another financial windfall for the pharmaceutical companies. It isn’t as if you can run to Wal Mart and shop around; as usual, monopoly conditions are firmly in place. The ultimate seller’s market, created by a very poor presidential decision.

So of course they aren’t hurrying. Why should they? As is usually the case, they have us exactly where they want us. Nice work, President Obama. You really dropped the ball on this one.

The Politics of Self-Interest.

Am I the only person who feels a sense of outrage at the prospect of Tony Blair being appointed President of the European Union? The people of Europe have no say in whom their President should be, of course. There will be no election. Blair would merely be appointed to the role which is yet again the EU acting as a gentleman’s club or like a masonic lodge, existing simply to preserve the interest of the European political elite. I am personally in favour of a united Europe, but a united Europe of the people. As long as this monstrous organisation exists it needs to be taken down, the sooner it is dismantled the better. The fact that a man such as Blair can even be under consideration for such a post is proof positive of this. What credentials does he have. It is said that he has a global profile. The only reason he has a global profile is because he was a pro-active war monger, who vigorously campaigned for the bombing of Belgrade, the capital city of another European country which is now seeking admission to the EU, he lied to his own people to lead Great Britain into an illegal war which has cost hundreds of thousands of lives, and mired us in a conflict in Afghanistan which has no end in sight and I can assure you that ultimately we will lose. I can only assume that the Presidency of the EU brings with it immunity from prosecution, because there are any number of countries in Europe that should he cross their borders he find himself arraigned at The Hague on war crimes charges. Then again we should look at the most enthusiastic advocates of a Blair Presidency. Nicolas Sarkozy, the playboy President of France obssessed with acquiring an international profile for himself whilst screwing up his country at home; Silvio Berlusconi, the corrupt, scandal-ridden, boss of Italy. Perhaps, he hopes his friend Tony can pull a few strings and keep him out of jail; and of course, our own Gordon Brown, the unelected Prime Minister of Great Britain, so desparate to remain in power that like a limpet he will cling on to anything that might add some sheen to his discredited Premiership and tarnished reputation including the infected, disease-ridden corpse of a political cadaver.

I know some right read this as not being a well-thought out and reasoned series of arguments, and I admit it is a bit of a rant, but some things need to be said. The points briefly touched upon are worthy of discussion. Yet the media (another organ of the political elite) presents to us the candidacy of Tony Blair as if it is only right and proper, as if his previous role as Prime Minister gives him some kind of automatic right to a role that will continue to impinge upon our lives without any say from us, the people, whatsoever. The Eurpean Union is behaving like the boys club it undoubtedly is. I don’t want this man in my life any more. It is a scandal and I believe this entire rotten edifice should be made to crumble and fall. I say NO to Tony Blair.

New political ad campaign about a possible tax on sugary drinks is ineffective and comes across as shallow.

Every so often we viewers are bombarded by political ads. Usually this happens during campaign season or when there’s a hot-button issue up for debate, like the current one on Health Care Reform. But lately there’s been another TV ad that’s catching people’s attention.

The commercial starts with a commercial driving down the road, passing homes in foreclosure. A mother is on her way home from the grocery store with her kids. She carries her bags inside, one of which contains a bottle of soda. Then she makes her plea to the camera as she tells Washington, “What doesn’t seem like much to you can mean a lot to us.” Than we’re told to contact our congressmen to put a stop to this proposed tax on soda and juice drinks.

And if that ad wasn’t aggravating enough, the group came out with a second one:

Now don’t get me wrong. I believe this group CAN make an effective ad that would not irate me and others so much. They would have just put things into perspective. They could’ve made a light-hearted ad and have still gotten their message across.

As someone who never gave much thought into this issue before these ads, I’m now a person who may contact my lawmakers asking them FOR a tax on sugary drinks. Let’s use those “pennies that add up” for some of those things that are truly affecting Americans’ lives.

On October 21, 2009, a school homecoming dance in Richmond, California, ended with a 15-year-old girl gang raped, beaten, robbed, stripped of her humanity, and semi-conscious on her way to the hospital. Four police officers and 15 school supervisors were supposed to be monitoring the dance.

The unidentified victim had been drinking heavily during the dance. She was in the process of leaving the dance when a group of students invited her for another drink in the school courtyard. For more than 2 hours, five boys aged 15 to mid-twenties brutally assaulted and raped the 15-year-old in this school courtyard. Up to twenty more people watched, cheered on, laughed, and took photos of the attack on their phones. No one lifted a finger to dial 911, much less physically help the girl. Around midnight, police received a call from someone that overheard “talk” about the incident. Police found her under a bench, naked from the waste down, and unconscious. Thankfully, she is now in stable condition after being flown to the hospital in critical condition.

So far, two teenage suspects have been arrested, but the police estimate that up to twenty more will be arrested in conjunction. Police have posted a $20,000 reward for anyone that comes in with information that helps arrest and convict the people involved.

School officials are making statements to news outlets such as: “tragic incident,” “we are all going to learn from this,” “we wish this would never have happened,” “school administrators and police apparently weren’t watching the area as they should have.” The school also held a safety meeting for parents and students on Wednesday night. However, I think this is too little effort and way too late. School officials just approved security cameras this year after several years of violent crimes on school grounds… such as a student that was shot on school grounds and died in the principles arms. The time for safety meetings and learning from incidents was long before this girl was victimized.

So I ask, after years of violence on school grounds, why were present police and dance supervisors not more cautious? If their job was to patrol the dance, why did they not notice and investigate a crowd of 20 plus boys cheering for over 2 hours? How was this girl intoxicated inside of a school function without any person in authority noticing or taking action?

Of course, the bi-standers and attackers are the criminals here. However, I find the gross incompetence of the school and present police to be culpable as well.
