Live programme of Oscars.

Watching 81st Academy Awards live programme was truly a great experience. Millions around the world, were before television sets to see who would receive the award for best film, best director and best actress and best actors.  The opening ceremony performance by Hugh Jackman was a great entertainment for audience as well Hollywood celebrities. This rich and exuberant experience cannot be compared with any other award programme in the world.

Kate Winslet for the leading role in the film “The Reader” , Penelope Cruz for best supporting role in the film  Vicky Cristina Barcelona, best animated film “Wall-E and best film “Slumdog Millionaire”.

The film “Milk” received best screen play award,  the film “departures” as best foreign language film (Japan) and film “Duchess”  for best costume design.

Viewing the entire Oscar Award programme was truly a great moment for the audiences around the world.  All the celebrities, film directors and other technicians of Hollywood film industry staged on a single platform was a great experience and it would not be possible without Oscar programme.

Most spectacular dresses were worn by actresses and men were splendid in rich suitings.  The dresses were designed in a unique pattern for each actress according to the style and liking of each Hollywood actress. Further the jewellery and shoes worn was also gorgeous and elegant adding more beauty to the award programme.

Oscar was awarded to the actor Heath Ledger for the film “Dark Knight” who died in the year 2008.  The programme paid a tribute to Charlton Heston who acted in “Ben Hur”,  and “Ten Commandments” .

The audience thoroughly enjoyed the live programme and wish that many more best films and best directors would be encouraged in the coming years.

This is one occasion, where audience could see Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt together, Michael Douglas, Steven Spielbeg, Steve Martin. Many other Hollywood actors were also on the red carpet attending and participating 81st Academy Award Programme.
