On the night of the 26th of the eighth, a concert was held in the school hall called An Evening of Music.

The concert kicked off at 7pm and ending at 10pm. There were more than 20 acts and more than 15 different bands, choirs and soloists both from the Epping Boys School and from volunteers. The concert was a blast. The staging was great and not one band, choir or soloist looked cramped or squished up whilst performing on stage. The lighting boys were brilliant making few mistakes if any throughout the whole three hour show! There were two main performers that stood out the most to me though. They were the Epping Boys Rugby Choir conducted by Miss Shaw and a piano soloist by the name of Scott Esplin of year twelve.

The Epping Boys Rugby Choir had a very hearty sound to their team/choir. The whole team were mainly basses and baritones which was excellent for when they sang ‘Waltzing Matilda’ and ‘Bound for South Australia’. The Epping Boys Rugby coir put on a spectacular show even managing to get the audience singing along with them in the last chorus. Who could forget Scott Esplin of year twelve. His dazzling piano skills stunned he whole audience when he performed his piece. The piece he played was so unique because not only did it have a great sound it also had electronic sounds to make it sound even better. Overall the show was a great success because not only did it fill up all the seats in the hall with happy parents and relatives it even had people standing all around the hall in great applause
