Messages poured in newsrooms across Africa from viewers, radio listeners and news readers soon after Michael Jackson’s death was announced.

Africa mourns Jackson

Many people across Africa were dismayed at the demise of Michael Jackson. He died at 50 years of age.

Television and radio stations announced his demise as messages from many people poured in newsrooms of radio stations, television as well as newspaper newsrooms.

“ I am disillusioned by the death of Michael Jackson because he was very good to me . He sung meaningful songs and will always be remembered,” said John Phiri from Zambia.

A journalist from Malawi Michael Banda said He has been listening to Jackson’s music for two centuries and was not bored.

“ Each time he was singing, I could be amused. He could sing with all the energy and was thus entertaining,” he said.

He said his songs will still be played in many countries saying in his songs shall he live.

According to BBC, the Mandela Foundation has already paid tribute to Michale Jackson.

Ambiti, a refugee from Rwanda resident in Malawi and Lucky from The Democratic Republic of Congo , also a refugee living in Malawi said throughout their lives ,Jackson has been a hero to them.

It is just unfortunate that I am  living very far from United States of America.   I wished I could witness his burial. In this vain, Iam appealing to International medi organization to cover his burial live so that we should witness the burial of this hero,” said Ambiti.

Face book messages have been passed on from one person to another expressing dismay of his demise.

However, others still remember with remorse his appearances in the American courts.
