Perhaps there was a better usage for the money? Here are five suggestions.

$61 million dollars. That’s a lot of cash! What could Brittany have done with the money instead of late night Taco Bell, lattes, and an ill-fitting wardrobe?

Here are five suggestions:

  1. The Federal Government has spent well over $200 million on Hurricane Katrina relief, mainly in Louisiana – Britney’s home state. For a mere $61 million donation, I’m sure FEMA would’ve been happy to decorate every formaldehyde infested trailer with a Britney FatHead and include a free CD single of Toxic.
  2. The Department of Energy is investing $60 million to develop solar power and I’m certain they would appreciate a contribution to their cause. We know Britney would agree, her latest CD was called “Blackout”. Obviously, she’s concerned about the energy crisis. Obviously.
  3. $61 million could pay for tinted glass, a great chauffeur, and driver education courses for celebrity Mom’s. Britney could sit in the backseat with the kids on her lap and wallow in her own negligence without all those pesky paparazzi. It could also prevent the occasional fender-bender and keep our roads a safer place.
  4. Panties. $61 million could buy a lot of them. Please.
  5. Britney could have doubled the efforts of Eli Broad and Bill Gates to bump up education on the list of political issues for the 2008 presidential race. Clearly, Britney loves school.

Instead, we get to hear about important issues like someone’s pastor making inflammatory comments. Thanks a lot, Britney. Thanks for nothin’.

Is it even worth it to mention how many starving children she could’ve fed? How she could’ve sent people to school, cared for our Veterans, financed mass transportation for a struggling city, saved a bunch of whales, provided stronger armor for our troops, or even donated her scraggly strands to Locks of Love? She could’ve chosen some cause, stuck with it, and really made a difference in this world.

Imagine all the power Britney had with money she threw down the drain. After all, isn’t the true measure of wealth what one would be worth if she lost all her money? Right about now, when the cash is gone…so is Britney. It’s about time she grew up, straightened out, and realized the impact she has on this world. If she concentrates hard enough, she just may do something good for this Earth.
