Perhaps there was a better usage for the money? Here are five suggestions.
$61 million dollars. That’s a lot of cash! What could Brittany have done with the money instead of late night Taco Bell, lattes, and an ill-fitting wardrobe?
Here are five suggestions:
- The Federal Government has spent well over $200 million on Hurricane Katrina relief, mainly in Louisiana – Britney’s home state. For a mere $61 million donation, I’m sure FEMA would’ve been happy to decorate every formaldehyde infested trailer with a Britney FatHead and include a free CD single of Toxic.
- The Department of Energy is investing $60 million to develop solar power and I’m certain they would appreciate a contribution to their cause. We know Britney would agree, her latest CD was called “Blackout”. Obviously, she’s concerned about the energy crisis. Obviously.
- $61 million could pay for tinted glass, a great chauffeur, and driver education courses for celebrity Mom’s. Britney could sit in the backseat with the kids on her lap and wallow in her own negligence without all those pesky paparazzi. It could also prevent the occasional fender-bender and keep our roads a safer place.
- Panties. $61 million could buy a lot of them. Please.
- Britney could have doubled the efforts of Eli Broad and Bill Gates to bump up education on the list of political issues for the 2008 presidential race. Clearly, Britney loves school.
Instead, we get to hear about important issues like someone’s pastor making inflammatory comments. Thanks a lot, Britney. Thanks for nothin’.
Is it even worth it to mention how many starving children she could’ve fed? How she could’ve sent people to school, cared for our Veterans, financed mass transportation for a struggling city, saved a bunch of whales, provided stronger armor for our troops, or even donated her scraggly strands to Locks of Love? She could’ve chosen some cause, stuck with it, and really made a difference in this world.
Imagine all the power Britney had with money she threw down the drain. After all, isn’t the true measure of wealth what one would be worth if she lost all her money? Right about now, when the cash is gone…so is Britney. It’s about time she grew up, straightened out, and realized the impact she has on this world. If she concentrates hard enough, she just may do something good for this Earth.

Yeah!!! Great article. Please forward to Gwen Cuizon!!
A shame to waste so much talent so much money and so much energy.
So true and Britney isn’t the only star channeling her talents in the wrong direction. We won’t live long enough to blog about all of them. On the other hand, there are a ton of celebs who are making a difference. Perhaps Britney will start to hang around with them?
Sarah,
In the first place, it’s Britney Spears money not yours. Second, if someone is down and in the midst of troubles, I don’t step on them. I don’t derive happiness from seeing people down on the pits – which seems to be your specialty coz you derive some enjoyment in seeing her fall and branding her as a stripper. I don’t do that coz I believe in the Christian way of ‘treating others the way you want to be treated’. If I step on others especially on their lowest moments, what would that make of me? I am worse than the person I criticize, of course. And lastly, as far as I’m concerned you are the one spending a lot of time reading about Britney Spears and criticizing her even comment on her in other sites, so which one of us don’t have a life now? Listen to your advice.
True, it’s HER money and she’s stimulating the economy. I do feel bad for Britney and all her troubles. But I feel worse that Britney, as a young influential woman, has not made a positive impact on this world and she’s thrown so much away. Perhaps her time is still coming.
