Chuck Norris is suing Penguin publishing for a book they published about him. I find this highly disappointing.
I found an article on yahoo news this morning that shocked me. I didn’t believe it at first because of the title, but after reading it, checking the calendar to make sure it wasn’t April, and reading it again, I realized it was true. Chuck Norris is actually suing publisher Penguin because of a book they released containing Chuck Norris facts. How, Chuck, did you do commercials for Mountain Dew and Mike Huckabee, but still get pissed off about some stupid book!
So I went to their website, Truth About Chuck, and found that although some of the jokes are bad, there’s no reason for Chuck to get all pissed off about this. There’s the usual “Chuck’s tears cure cancer” and so on, but nothing to sue about. I guess Chuck was always pissed off about that list of Chuck Norris facts that circulated around the Internet, but couldn’t do anything about them. Well, Chuck, that’s no reason to take it out on Penguin. That’s just stupid.
Apparently it’s okay to poke fun at Chuck, if it makes him money. We’ve all seen the Mountain Dew commercials, the Ford commercials, and even Mike Huckabee’s ad. They’re all clearly making fun of him, but Chuck doesn’t care because it’s making him money; just like this lawsuit. So Chuck, would you be mad at me if I slept with your wife, but fine with it as long as you got paid?
Chuck Norris is no longer my hero. It’s really a shame that he’s ruining this whole fad by doing this and his public image. Everyone I know is going to be really disappointed when they find out, and I’m sure millions more.

Man, chuck norris isn’t cool anymore : C
This is really sad. Chuck was my hero all through middleschool, now he just threw away his reputation. Really is a shame that he turned out to be some nut.
What is so bad about him wanting his fair share of money from a company that was using his image to sell their books? He’s doing what just about anyone would do. If a publisher was using you as a way to sell their books, wouldn’t you want to at least be told about it and/or get paid for it?
The fact you are not famous is irrelevant…..
i have a good one
once he pops, chuck norris can stop.
