Derren Brown: He Guessed All Six Numbers Right:
He’s worthy to have his image on Urban Dictionary with an entry entitled “Derren Brown” with the following “You really know who your friends are when they don’t tell you the winning numbers.” Will he have friends ready to punch his lights out this week? I wouldn’t put it past any of them this week and for the rest of his life, when you consider the jackpot was 2.5 million pounds. He didn’t buy a ticket! He didn’t do anything but bite his hand in anticipation of the moment when he could collapse at not telling anyone the numbers before. God even he got three or four numbers right, that’s still money in a friend or two pockets, because I felt this strange moment where I wanted to punch his lights out while shouting “You bastard idiot of England!” Really, you got to be plum stupid to not at least get some money out of it, or tell someone the numbers.
He could’ve given it to some person who really needed it, someone, anyone would’ve wanted the numbers. Maybe he had an excuse for not telling anyone the numbers or not buying himself a ticket through a friend. Epic win and fail have converged on his very being, he was right but didn’t do a thing to at least get a ticket.
How did he do it? How did he get all six fucking numbers right? Through manipulation or simple math—all I can think is HE’S A WITCH! But that’s only a theory at this moment in time (of course). A whole country waits for Friday; will he reveal to us this wonderful process of winning the lottery? Or will it be a huge (probably) hoax created for the soul reason of fucking everyone off during this implosion of the economy? Personally the second outcome has a nice ring to it—don’t get me wrong—I want to win the lottery, but somehow the first outcome is probably going to require a truckload of math, because I clearly heard him say “I’ve had numbers up on the wall.” When someone refers to a wall like that, you can be bloody sure that he went completely One Hour Photo style to accomplish this.
