Johnny Depp – This Years Hat Person

Johnny Depp has been voted hat person of the year by Headwear Association.

The Hollywood star defeated the worst hat competitors – No Doubt singer Gwen Stefani and “X-Men” star Hugh Jackman, who ranked second and third place in The Headwear Association’s poll.

- Depp is rarely seen without a hat, and he prefers fedora hats. The form of the hat has got an upswing the last few years and similar models can be seen in movies like “Mad Men” and “The Adjustment Bureau” says a spokesperson for the organization, according to Contact Music.

Justin Timberlake, Kate Hudson and Nicole Ritchie came in sixth-, seventh-and eighth place.

Last year, Brad Pitt was the winner after the vote.

The Headwear Association is a 103 year old organization whose mission is to “promote hat wearing and hat industry worldwide and to foster good will among the actors in the hat industry”.
