Michael Jackson: Drug Overdose?

Rumors are flying as to what caused the death of the beloved pop singer. What is known is that Jackson had stopped breathing and could not be resuscitated. Michael’s attorney has told reporters today that he feared this was inevitable with Micheal’s use of prescription drugs that he had for dance related injuries. Of course this is , at this point, just hearsay but let’s reminisce on some of the stars of our time who these rumors ended up ringing true for.

Marilyn Monroe used prescription pills, said to assist her  mental health, and eventually overdosed on them. That is the official report,but I won’t get into my conspiracy theories with you. She was 36 years old.

Judy Garland followed her yellow brick road and overdosed on prescription medication in 1969. She was 47 years old. She left behind two daughters, including the famous Liza Minnelli, and one son.

Anna Nicole Smith, former Playmate and Trim Spa spokeswoman died in 2007 from a prescription drug overdose. She was 40 years old. She left behind one daughter.

Heath Ledger, gorgeous Australian star, suffered an accidental overdose at the prime of his career. He was only 30. Hey left behind one daughter with actress Michelle Williams.

Dorothy Dandrige, the first African American actress to be nominated for a Grammy for Best Actress, was found dead from a prescription overdose. She was only 42.

Jimi Hendrix, guitar legend, died from vomit inhalation and overdose of sleeping pills.  He was only 27.

The King, Elvis Presley’s death was lead up to by the prescription medication that he been given throughout the last eight months of his life. He was 42. Elvis is the father of Lisa Marie Presley.

Abbie Hoffman, a renown activist, died at age 52 from a prescription drug overdose.

These are some of the tragedies of lives who could have had more time. Whether or not Jackson will fall into this category will not be known for a few more weeks due to the autopsy test results.
