The owner of Chitty Chitty Bang Bang has spoken of how the late Pop Star once offered him half a million pounds for the famous car…

The Stratford-upon-Avon Observer has disclosed this week that Stratford resident, Pierre Picton, the owner of Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, was once offered the staggering sum of £500,000 by the singing legend for the famous movie car.
It seems that representives of Michael Jackson contacted Pierre after the car had appeared at a charity rally back in 1990.
” It really is amazing,” Pierre is reported as saying in the newspaper, “that he wanted Chitty. I presume he would have wanted it for the Neverland Ranch, as it is the original car and number plate.
” The offer came as a total surprise. The offers started at £250,000 and went up to £500,000 and then it just got silly but no amount would have been enough.
” We have had Chitty in Stratford for more than 25 years now.”
We have to be thankful Pierre didn’t sell it!
