Michael Jackson: The “king of Pop” Will Always Be Remembered

The 25th of April in the year 2009 will always be important to the people closest to Michael Jackson. The real cause of his death was not yet clear and an investigation is still ongoing. According to reports, he was found not breathing when the Los Angeles Fire Department paramedics responded to a call at his LA home about 12:30 p.m. then the paramedics performed CPR and took him to UCLA Medical Center.

Michael Jackson was busy. He had been scheduled to start a series of comeback on July 13 – March 2010. The famous performer, whose hits include “Thriller” “Beat It” and “Billie Jean,” had been in his home at the Los Angeles area for the past two months constantly rehearsing for his upcoming concerts.

Jackson’s sudden death brought a tragic end to his long-time music career. He was one of the greatest and most popular world performer who had dominated the music charts during the 80’s. He started in the late 1960s, as a little boy who was the lead singer of the “Jackson 5″, the famous group whom he had formed along with his four older brothers that had started his amazing popularity. He was probably the most unique performer of his time, known for his very fast dance moves and his wonderful high-pitched voice. He was also known for his soft melodic voice especially when he sings ballad songs.

Michael Jackson’s popularity can truly be ranked alongside Elvis Presley as one of the biggest pop sensation of all time. He was also known to be the ex-husband of Elvis Presley’s daughter Lisa Marie since he was briefly married to her. Hundreds of fans and people gathered outside the hospital as his death was disclosed. The emergency entrance at the UCLA Medical Center, were suddenly filled with people which was also just near Michael Jackson’s rented home.

Because of the technology today, the news of Jackson’s death spread like wildfire. People can’t believe that he was gone. Fans are still expecting to buy new albums from their beloved pop star. Some people know that he had been dealing with some big problems within the last few years but no one thought that he could die so suddenly. His musical achievements were truly remarkable and amazing.

Michael Jackson, the “King of Pop” will always be remembered through his music, creativity and talent. I grew up hearing his wonderful songs and I offer my sincere condolences to his loved ones, closest friends as well as his fans all over the world.
