Oprah Promotes Fake Science

In the world of knowledge there is fake science and there is real science. Those who watch the Oprah Winfrey show may have noticed the Oprah tends to support “fake science”. So you may be wondering what is this fake science. That is what we shall analyse.

We all want to look for a miracle cure that will cure any disease or make us look younger. While science may not have any definite answers for these problems there are products out there which claim to do just that. Some of these products are supported by Oprah. While doctors have stood up in her audience to give science to prove or disprove these claims we are fooled to think by a celebrity that a commercial product or vitamins may solve our problems.

However, Oprah is a person who wants to make a difference in the world. Her emotions may lead her to many places and products. It is necessary that with any thought or idea that one should question the validity of what we see. The media as presented by Oprah and her celebrity empire shows us that we are prone to accept the bias of the media.

Science is the fact as it is tested by proved scientific methods. Oprah only presents ideas that support her own opinions as well as her television ratings. Only when we take a stand for what is true and against what is false will the truth in the media become clearer.
