Recently there have been reports that Rick Astley is dead, having died in his Berlin hotel room.

The current stream of hoax celebrity deaths is coming thick and fast, and our latest entry is: Rick Astley!

CNN’s iReport announced yesterday that Astley’s body was found at Berlin’s Angleterre Hotel after an emergency call for an ambulance. He was found unconscious in the bedroom and they were unable to resusitate him.

Unlike other hoax celebrity deaths, CNN’s iReport makes this seem somewhat more legitimate at face value.  Well, that’s if you don’t know how iReport works. You see, anyone can submit anything to iReport without any form of pre-publication review. I mean, I could even submit a story to iReport saying that aliens had just landed in my back garden.

Rick Astley has not died. Stop panicking, all you fans of 80’s factory-made pop.
