Are smart phones getting smarter than their programmers? With the release of the new iPhone 3G things don’t seem to be as they maybe should be.

Technology has definitely come along way and is forever changing. Cell phones changed the way we live when they were released in 1974. Before cell phones the only way to talk to someone was if they were at home and had a land line.

When they were first released they were big and bulky and the only thing they really did was make a call and that’s only if by chance you had service. They were expensive to own and making a call wasn’t always the clearest of voices. I myself thought it was crazy to carry a phone around with you all the time. Sometimes you just want to be inaccessible. Now, I do exactly what they wanted me to do, bought a cell phone,  and carry it with me all the time, and feel lost if I forget it at home. There is no more oh I cant get a hold of so and so. The future is now.

We have grown tremendously since 1974 and with the launch of smart phones things seem to be headed more and more into a virtual world first on the Internet and now on your phone. Smart phones are getting better and better at doing what your computer does for you but on a much smaller scale.

This generation of cell phones not only can make a call but you can download music, chat, check email, search the Internet, get directions and and so many other applications have been added to make our phones really the only device we will ever need.

Simon the first ever smart phone made his debut in 1992. It was made by IMB and was shown as a concept at that years trade show in Vegas and was made public in 1993. Simon was pretty stupid compared to our phones today. Smart phones use many platforms for operating systems from Linux to android. They are definitely smarted than a fifth grader and gaining intelligence all the time.

How smart are smart phones getting? Are they learning on their own and becoming smarter than their programmer? Well, to be honest who really knows, but malware seems to have made a distinct impression on the smart phone world. They have been successful at getting into the heart of the phones, the brains of the network and has made it possible to download applications not only from Apple but from you if you decided to sell them.

Are these companies taking the wrong approach at making sure they launch their new phones when the rest of the best cell phone makers decide it is time? Are they forgetting to take precautions so not to let this happen? Apparently not, as of right now that is.

I received an email the other day and it walked me through this new business that would let me sell applications for the new i phone 3G. Yes it was a spam mail but I read it just the same. I could not believe that as big as Apple is they would allow this to happen. How much money are they about to loose? Millions!

If you are one of the lucky ones who owns a i phone then you know the list of applications seems to go on and on. There are apps for almost anything, so how did these villains sneak there way into this realm of business? There seems to be a glitch on the programming side of the phone that has made this possible.

What next will arise from the ashes with cell phone technology? As of now they are pretty good at knowing who we are and what we like. They buy plane tickets for us, and text your mother when you forgot to say Happy Birthday.  They can tell you what to leave for a tip in your favorite restaurant, play any game you would like to take a stab at, play your favorite song and can even let you know who is calling you.

This technology has taken off and does not seem to have any end in sight. Those who build these devices are cutting edge, smart, and always coming up with something new that our cell phones can and  will do.

Who knows maybe one day in the not so far away future your cell phone could be the only equipment you will ever need to cross the globe of information.
