The story about Robert Pattinson getting hit by a taxi when he ran into the busy New York City street. Opinions anyone?

    Yesterday, it was reported on the news that Twilight star Robert Pattinson was hit by an NYC cab. Apparently, he was there filming scenes for an upcoming movie when some crazy group of fans chased him. In his attempt to get away, Pattinson ran into the street and was hit by the cab. Channel Fox 43 reported that he was hit in the hip area but was not seriously hurt. No news on how this will affect filming on his movies, yet.

    But one has to wonder, if those fans admire him so much, why they would risk hurting the celeb just to get close to him. Wouldn’t it have been enough to politely walk up to him and ask for an autograph or picture? Especially when the star has been known to graciously make time for his fans! But now this could potentially change matters for the worse. Robert has been known to be very shy and introverted, so with his privacy being completely disregarded and not being able to go anywhere without being recognized, will he give up acting in order to try to get a normal life back? Only time will tell. But one thing is certain, fans need to learn respect and boundaries. I myself am a Robert Pattinson fan, and I would never have treated him so horribly. So here it is ladies and gentlemen, respect the celebs you admire by calmly and rationally approaching them. Be nice and don’t get overly fanatic. I mean, how would you like to be chased by a mob of screaming people who are trying to grab you?
