According to her publicist the singer and actress has died. Both the location of her death and the cause is unknown.
As a Houston fan I have to say I’m sad to hear of her death but not the least bit shocked. Considering the drug use and partying I don’t see how it could really come as a shock to anyone. She is probably best known for her rendition of Dolly Parton’s “I will always love you” and her part in the movie “The Bodyguard.”
I found the anouncment odd because I only moments ago finished watching her in “Waiting to Exhale.” So it’s a little spooky to get online and see the headline right after watching her on screen.
There is one Whitney Houston sonng in particular that I will always love and I hope all of her mourning fans take a moment to listen to it again today as I personally believe it is one of her best ever.”The Greatest Love of All” was the song we sang in Choir on the day of my 6th grade graduation. It will be one of those songs that sticks with me the rest of my life. Whitney’s death takes the song’s beauty to a whole new hauntingly emotional level.
So if you haven’t heard it in awhile. crank it up today in honor of Whitney.

I agree it’s sad but not surprising. Something about the entertainment industry, it devours its own.
Well put Robert.
