Jamie Czerniawski, a New Jersey mother and wife featured on the reality television show Wife Swap, was accused of stabbing her husband, Charles Czerniawski, in their home on Memorial Day weekend.

Jamie Czerniawski was arrested and charged in Monmouth County with aggravated assault for allegedly stabbing her husband with a knife according to court papers.   The stabbing took place 1 a.m. in the morning when they returned home and Jamie received a phone call from a male friend.  The phone call caused her husband, Charles, to become very jealous and furious.  She claims he grabbed her wrist and pinned her against the island in the kitchen.  Jamie broke free and grabbed a knife.   According to the NY Post, Jamie claims her husband then threatened her and she was only acting in self-defense struck him with the knife.   The former beauty queen claims had she not stabbed him she would be dead. 

Charles’ lawyers do not agree.

Charles spent two days in the intensive care unit with stab wounds to his right arm.  He lost four pints of blood and has not regained use of his arm.

Jamie is out on $75,000 bail and claims her husband has cleaned out the bank accounts and cut off her financially.   

The couple has taken out dueling restraining orders.
