With his ” too nice guy” unappealing persona and his trembling conservative record, Mitt Romney, (if he runs) might be headed to lose even more states primaries and caucuses in 2012 than the over 40 he lost in 2008. Here are the 10 main reasons the former one term Massachusetts governor is not going to make it in 2012 either.

Left Leaning Moderation

Romney is a well known moderate in social and fiscal issues. The GOP base is ultra conservative. There is no way a person who supported(at some point in his life) ”women right to abort a child”, “equal rights for homosexual couples” , “government run Health care system” and “openly homosexual people serve in the Armed Forces” would win the GOP nomination.

 Trembling Record

Romney’s conservative credentials are  so thin, he is just a bill passed away from being a democrat.

 Age

Romney will be 65 years old in 2012. Just 7 years less than the oldest presidential candidate in history: John McCain. The GOP base already know, a candidate over 65 is not match for a president under 55.

 Religion

Sad but true. Millions of Evangelicals and Catholics in important primaries states will not vote for a Mormon.

  Political  Silence

Romney is not talking. He is not putting his opinions out there. He is not being heard. Nothing is being said about him. He is sort of hiding. His lack of participation in national issues would truce him for the 2012 primaries. The GOP tends to nominate candidates that have been giving speeches and sending the message out for at least 4 years before the primaries cycle(name recognition).

 Mistrust

Most of the GOP base, the people that vote in GOP primaries in important states(e.g. Texas, Alabama, Iowa, Virginia, South Carolina, Georgia, Florida, California , New York, etc), do no trust Romney.

 History of unfair campaign tactics

Romney has a history of making rude pronunciations against his opponents, most of them lies. He has allowed his surrogates to make false statements and to spread rumors. His famous debate with Senator McCain in which he accused the former POW of using sneaky tactics and embarrassing him in from of the cameras made headlines and made him lose support in most states.

 Wealth

Being a millionaire might account for some lack of support in middle class conservative circles(Iowa, Texas, Alabama, Indiana, etc.). John McCain managed to bypass this “rich white elite man” liability using his impressive war hero and POW record.   Romney has no military record to help bypass his wealthy life style.

 Old News

Mitt Romney is “deja vu” for Republicans. If he did not make it pass 11 primaries in 2008, he might not even get close in 2012.  It would be up the hill for Romney to win more than 10 primaries in 2012, especially if new and fresh faces like Sarah Palin, Tim Pawlenty and Bobby Jindal or experienced and successful conservatives like Newt Gingrich decide to run.

 Too nice man

Mitt Romney has the liability of being “too nice”. His soft voice, his unappealing messages and his “too clean” mantra is not going to work in 2012. The GOP base loves candidates that speak “loud”, with humor and strong voice. Republicans loves candidates that seems they can handle anything the Democrats throw at them.  Romney is not being smeared or viciously attacked. Romney has no record of being strong in adversities, Romney is just “too nice and soft” to be the GOP candidate in 2012. A candidate that can handle democrats smears and extreme Lefty’s attacks  can handle rogue nations like Iran and North Korea.
