Throughout America voters are making their voices heard. This is a good thing, however, outright anger is not the answer.

My fellow Americans,

I am a laid off railroad worker, soon to be college student, and a father. I applaud every time Americans make their voices heard in town hall meetings across OUR United States. Having said that, anger is not the solution to our problems.

Anger will lead us down a road to blood shed and armed rebellion. Instead, turn your anger into a passion and love for your country. Continue going to the town hall meetings, continue writing or visiting your representatives on the state and national levels, continue to talk with your neighbors, and family members. Share what you know.

Instead of screaming that you do not want the government to do what it is attempting to bring about, try giving these career politicians solutions to the country’s problems. Tell them what they can do to reduce government spending. Tell them what they can do to reduce taxes across the board on corporations, high income Americans, as well as middle and lower income brackets. Tell them we can solve the problems if they will not.

We can solve the problems by running our own candidates, independently if we have to. We can ask our doctors, instead of career politicians how we can lower cost of health care. We can look to the past and see what works. 50 years of Keynesian economics from the 1930’s to 1980 brought about inflation, gas shortages and high taxes. In 1981 Americans made their voices heard and elected a president in Ronald Reagan, who completely revived not only America’s economy, but its spirit.

America is once again headed down the path of failed domestic and foreign polices, as well as higher taxes and dissension among ourselves. The question to be answered is: Will we make the necessary changes in 2010 as we did in 1981?
