It would not be quite surprising that a country this great so adverse and with such a recognizable brand name known in all four corners of the Earth, would soon one day turn it’s axis to evil as a dictatorship.
It would not be quite surprising that a country this great, so adverse, and with such a recognizable brand name known in all four corners of the Earth, would soon one day turn its axis to an evil, like a dictatorship. I’m not writing this article as a hate-America speech, because I love what it has previously stood for and the people, such as myself, who make up this great land. Yet I, as an American, am writing this article now before it’s too late. This is sort of the time when many individuals will see their freedom of speech taken away all in the name of patriotism.
America has by far come a long way from killing off seventy-five percent (75%) of the American Indian population, to exploiting and trading millions of innocent Africans as a source for cheap wealth and labor. Although the time has changed, many of the above has stayed the same. We still trade using cheap labor over in China. We continue to exploit the American Indian population through sinful casinos and an unfair delegation of land. Through exploitation, America also continues to suppress and depress the very slaves whom built this country.
Part of my heart can rightfully be mad at America for doing such things, then the other part of my heart has come to the realization of how real business transactions work. While we in America are fed up with cheap labor and faulty products coming from China, we are still going to Wal-Mart by the millions and supporting the cause for dirt cheap labor.
I too am guilty of the continuum to suppress those whom does not look like me because in reality the individuals whom are in the sweatshops in China are being paid nickels a day to keep our prices low here in the states, so we can buy that new Mercedes Benz we’ve been saving for.
The humorous matters about our country’s laws are the fact that Federal, local, and state laws have some sort of separation factor that needs to be adjusted. Such adjustments should be the placement of a 50 state voting system, the banning of ridiculous local laws such as the one proposed in Atlanta on baggy pants. America has become a society of fearful people and therefore gives justification to laws in which takeaway our precious freedoms, such as the Patriot Act.
Every week our respected president George W. Bush gets on the television rambling about some terrorist threat, a new terror alert color, and a new evil we fight against. Well I hate to say it more clearly my fellow Americans, but the real terrorist are in congress. Congress is the ones whom pass the bill for war, sleep with the filthy corporations you and I work for and do not give a damn about the people whom elected them till its time to be reelected.
Wake up America and smell the coffee. There is no “for the people.” The last time America made laws that were really for the people was back during the civil rights era, and even then someone had to get shot for it (Martin Luther King Jr.).
As a final will and testament to those whom have read this far, its time to wakeup and take off the blinds that may cover your eyes. America lies, cheats, steals and kills all in the name of capitalism. In case you did not understand capitalism, that’s the lavish house, iPod, car or clothes that you may own. So when it comes down to America being the new dictatorship, we are all guilty of it. Because we all want to live comfortable in our pretty homes with pretty lawns and feel safe at home at night. America has done it before and can do it again, and the things that scare us up about terrorist were the very tools we used against the French and British to become an independent nation.
America, America the country I love the most, what has happened to you America the super power we boast. All that we can do now is get on our knees and pray, pray to the one whom has true control of not only this world, but all worlds and that’s in “God we Trust!”
Thank you and God Bless!

Where I do not agree with some of your words, I do have to say you have quite a point…in which most people dont get. I belive that Bush is one of the best leaders we have had in a long time, the problem lays in whom he is leading. The voices of poverty are screaming “bring this contry into more poverty”. The reason I say that is if you think about the math, a worker in China getting paid 40 cents a day USD to produce a snikers bar brings the cost of snikers to $1.00 here. Due to labor laws in the US (poverty being roughly $10,000 a year) the cheapest labor here would cause the same snikers bar to be roughly $60.00 (in the fact that 60% of almost all product prices are due to labor not materials. Seeing this maybe we should be willing to pay more for a snikers bar and get paid less at work as US citezens (Everyone wants to make more money in this nation), most people turn a blind eye, others will do anything to get ahead in the world, and the few are willing to sacrafice their summer home in the northwoods so that a few families can put food on their table and clothe their children. I am not against capitalism because I belive it brings many benifits (mainly in the form of innovation) but I do not think this gives us the right to disregard all else that we need to keep in balance to sustain a harmonic Earth. Plasma screen TV’s are cool, as long as they can exist in symbiosis with nature (and I am not talking about going green as that is another form of consumerism, I belive in forces of nature taking their course).
The new dictatorship is not our president, our Wal-Marts, or congress…our dictatorship is our greed.
PS Everyone should check out the seven deadly sins (greed is on the bad list, and this is why).
Thank you Mr. Beckford, I can say I half-heartedly agree with you.
God Bless
