Balloon Boy: What Were His Parents Thinking?

We have been watching on the news about this elaborate hoax. The one question that keeps running through my mind is what were his parents thinking. How could they enable one or all of their children do something like this when they were right there helping them with the balloon. I myself am a parent and that has me concerned that any parent would do something as ignorant as this with their children. In the past we have experienced terrorism and how the parents of this child along with his brothers even allow this to go on. Not to mention the emergency, national guard, fire, police, and FAA was involved in this as well when there was no way to tell if the boy was even in the balloon and could not risk it. They all including the children should be charged to the fullest extent of the law for this horrific act.

With law enforcement should have thoroughly checked the house where the boy lived every area of the property. But how can you say as a parent that you lost your child while they were right in front of you like that when the parents were helping them with the spaceship looking balloon. Come to find out that these parents’ endangered children in chasing a deadly storm the first time around as publicity stunt to. Yet the parents come off as totally oblivious to why they should be charged and the children possibly removed from the home as well. Child Protective Services should have been involved the first time and the children should have been removed from the home. Neither the parents nor the children involved take in to consideration how serious this was and why the Nation is beyond angry with all of them. I believe as do many others that this was beyond poor parenting on the parent’s part.
