Do not get what I say wrong: John McCain too has played his part in bringing in the future. He crossed partisan lines when no one else dared to, acted as a true maverick in the Senate, and brought change to Washington. But his day has past. The future he brought in is now the present, and we are ready to advance even further into a new, great age.

I will be the first to say that my goals for the government are not realistic: I hope for either socialism or anarchy. What I hope for can never be brought to pass. But I know when our future is coming. I see it approach slowly, like a ship off in the horizon, and every time a ship comes to dock, it brings us new riches. Barack Obama is the ship that has just arrived to harbor. With his arrival comes the wealth and experience of his journeys, and now he guides us until the next ship comes in to our harbor.

I do not say that Obama is our future. I say that Barack Obama is our now. Now is the Era of Obama. Accept it.

It is time.
