Is Barack Obama ramping up for another Vietnam except this time in Afghanistan?
On August 31st, 2009 bombs killed four people in Afghanistan, two Americans and two British troops. The worst month before this had been July, but these killings bring the death toll to 47 for August for American soldiers.

Why has Barack Obama ordered 21,000 more troops into Afghanistan? America already has over 60,000 troops stationed there. Is this simply a diversion to take eyes off of the fact that Barack Obama is getting America out of Iraq as quickly as he promised?
Why aren’t we told what is going on? Why has the situation in Afghanistan deteriorated steadily since Barack took office?
The questions must be asked “Who will Barack Obama and the Democratic party going to blame for this debacle?” They certainly can’t blame Bush and the Republicans anymore. This sits squarely on our new Presidents shoulders.
Why is nothing being done about the ever-increasing influence of the Taliban in Afghanistan? The AP reports that a man named Lal Mohammad was accosted by the Taliban on his way to vote, when they found his voter registration card they cut off his nose and his ears as a warning and then beat him and left him for dead.
What are you doing about this Barry Soetoro?
You seem to favor a war in Afghanistan while backing away from one in Iraq, what’s the difference? Just as Democrats cry that there is no definable objective in Iraq, please tell us what the definable objective in Afghanistan is? Where is there a winnable war in Afghanistan?
Why are we spending this money here, when it could be used to bring the troops home now?
This is your war Barry Soetoro. Are you going to plunge the US into a Vietnam era retreat to complete your parties intended destruction of this country as a world power, and further demoralize and divide the citizens of this country?
Barry Soetoro, Barack Hussein Obama, whoever the hell you are, this is your war now.

Just a Canadian onlooker peeking south to see what the hell you guys are up to now – I thought that Bush seriously believed that his legacy was going to be rescuing the Middle East from the tyranny of the Taliban and setting up a western-styled democracy. He was going to win the Nobel Peace prize for singlehandedly bringing peace to all of the countries of the Middle East. I wondered if perhaps Mr. Bush hasn’t read far enough in the Bible yet to see the prophecy that there will be wars and rumours of wars until the end. In fact, I doubt there has been peace in the Middle East since Cain killed Abel.
What Obama is up to, even I can’t come up with an opinion. He received a rock star’s welcome when he came to Canada to grace us with an afternoon of his presence. People got up early to get to Ottawa for the privilege of watching his limo drive by. I don’t get the celebrity status. I smell a conspiracy starting in the Excited States.
i liked the way you wrote this. nice one to share. your point of view was greatly expressed, and The end times in the bible bring so much interest to me, so when reading this I have to wonder with Karen as well to whether or not Bush has done all his bible reading.
Are you seriously yet asking yourself about the presence of NATO army forces in Afghanistan after all this time ?

Interesting. So basically Obama wants to steal their oil. Gosh, and here I thought he supported green energy. Well that certainly explains why we don’t have the daily death roll call on the news like we did for Iraq.
