What may be “politically correct,” may not be based on common sense.

What does the term, or words, “politically correct,” stand for? This newly formed phrase has become a popular one heard around social circles. It is written in newspapers, and used in news casts. It is used among the common people everywhere.

Politically correct. The words tend to speak for themselves. They ring of power and authority. Whatever would be considered politically correct, would also seem to mean, to be “socially accepted.”How far will this phrase go? Could it go as far as to risk our political freedoms? Could it become LAW, and deny us our freedoms of speech, freedoms of choice, or freedoms of opposition to the views of those who are “politically correct?”

Could these be warning words that could lead to a way of life? Maybe we need to think seriously about what these words are intended, or capable of leading to. Are not communistic, and totalitarian countries, that control the rights of their people, also considered “politically correct,” in their methods of operations, and control?

Words that are used casually can sometimes turn into fighting words, controlling words, or words that carry a lot of weight in decisions being made. Words like “politically correct,” may seem harmless, and even convenient in using to explain a position in conversation, however, we must be careful not to take those words latterly, or for granted. They could too easily lead to a means of control, or become unspoken law.

Being politically correct takes away our freedom of choice. It takes away the liberal views of those in society, who do not agree with the political aspects of that society. It takes away our INDIVIDUALITY, and that can be a DANGEROUS SIGN. Using the words with a sense of “caution,” would be advisable to those who value their freedoms, in a country that could slowly brainwash it’s citizens, into submission of “politically correct control.”
