Comparing the President-elect’s falsified claim that he had quit smoking to his contention that neither he nor his office had any contact with Illinois governor Blagojevich.
Remembering the President elect’s announcement that he hadn’t in effect quit smoking as professed in early 2007 at the start of his Presidential campaign, I am now wondering if he just wasn’t blowing smoke, when he said he had no contact with Illinois Governor Blagojevich regarding his senate seat. As unbelievable as that may seem, even more unbelievable has been his accommodation of those committing corruption from Tony Rezko to Governor Blagojevich. And, even if he wasn’t involved in this recent pay to play scheme, but would turn a blind eye to it, gives me pause to wonder – will he also turn a blind eye to terrorism, illegal immigration, drug trafficking, and nuclear proliferation, just to name a few. When the smoke from this recent investigation clears, we might have a better idea.
