Where we may be heading.

As every day passes the inevitable conclusion draws closer and closer. As we have seen over the last months all of our financial futures are being placed likes one big bet on the banks of the USA, UK and Europe. The only way that govs can retain any control over how this money is spent or invested is by the nationalisation of these institutions. Here in the UK we are seeing this happen already as the gov effectively take ownership of the largest banking groups. With USA and Europe already going through this process we will be left with two or three colossal institutions controlled by central gov.

Does this take us closer to a Marxist banking regime? A socialist funding system under state control?

More to the point, at this stage in the game we have to say to ourselves “what are the alternatives?” We can’t just hand over the future of our nations to the morons who got us in this mess in the first place. There is no time to restructure the entire banking system, so taking control of our nations bail-out billions means we will have to do just that, take control.

I think many will welcome a quasi-global state banking system. The citizens vote may have a bit more leverage now that all the money is controlled by vote conscious political parties. My only worry is; who’s going to bail this lot out?
