Pro-life means that you believe everyone has a right to live, even an abortion doctor.
The murder of George Tiller, the abortion doctor from Kansas, who was gunned down outside his church made big news in yesterdays papers and across the Internet. It is yet another dispute between those who favor pro choice and those favoring pro life.
While I do not advocate abortion, I find it somewhat ironic, that people who claim to be pro life, will resort to murder to prove a point. Obviously, those people believe in life for an unborn fetus but once you have left your mothers womb, they then feel that your life has little or no value.
How is taking Tiller’s life any more justifiable than taking the life of an unborn infant? The answer is that it is not. Killing is killing no matter how you look at it. The person who shot Dr. Tiller, is no better than they believed the doctor himself to be.
Even more ironic is the fact that most people claiming to be pro life really aren’t. Not even when it comes to the life of a fetus. They believe, that in certain cases it is acceptable and even desirable to end the life of an unborn child.
Too many times I have heard a person claiming to be pro life say that abortions should never be performed except in cases of rape, incest, or if the mother’s life is in danger.
The unborn child is not the cause of any of these situations. Yet, many if not all pro lifers feel these children do not deserve the same chance to live as other unborn children? Are they really pro life or do these people really favor pro choice, but simply want to determine what choices others should have.
A person claiming to be pro life, should be truly in favor of life. No mater how that life originated. A child conceived by rape or incest is no less worthy of life than a child conceived out of love, or as a mistake. A child whose mother is at risk is no less worthy of life than a child of a woman who has a normal pregnancy. And a doctor, who performs abortions, is no less worthy of life than any other human being.
You do not shoot someone because you disagree with their beliefs or what they do for a living. If that were the case, we would have no bill collectors or IRS agents.
Pro life means that you believe in the sanctity of life, no exceptions and no excuses.

Good for You!!!!
It is so hypocritial of some “pro-life” people to support the actions of killing another person this way… I personally know some “pro-life” people who are oddly supportive of the death penalty.
Personally I am pro-choice, and was disgusted at this act, but thrilled you took this stance!
