Crazy Alaskan Possibly Gunning for Presidency? Sarah Palin

The Rumor

Some political commentators are saying that Sarah Palin’s resignation from Governor of Alaska 18 months early is a red flag that she is intending to campaign as a Republican candidate for presidency in 2012. The nature and timing of her announcement are good indications of her intentions. Former Governor Palin made the announcement right before a long holiday weekend outside her house, her announcement was brief, and she took no questions.

The Statement

On Friday morning, Palin gave the announcement with notice of it, few reporters made it in time given the short notice. She stated that she wished to effect things in a positive manner outside of government and was rather vague as to the true reasoning behind her resignation, other than that she was tired of “this superficial, wasteful, political bloodsport.”

What Does This Mean?

Now the former governor is free to begin campaigning and gain momentum as well as funding. Though her performance as a vice president candidate with John McCain last year was more humorous than anything, she still remains popular with core Republicans. Why? Because she is against abortion, for guns, church and old style family values, your most generic republican.

Why Does She Possibly Stand a Chance?

The GOP is a mess, most other rival candidates from the last electoral campaign are almost completely out of the picture after making the papers a few too many times. She also is a potential huge speaker for the ultra conservatives, especially given Obama’s current movements on health care and education. While she is absolutely in over her head, it is believed she is still in the game, given her conservative views and Republican connections.

What Should Be Done?

Vote against her for the love of all things living on this planet! At least that is my opinion.
