The attitudes of conservatives towards Mrs. Sarah Palin and conservative economic development.

As I listen to the commentary on Mrs Sarah Palin and the speech, she delivered on September 3, 2008 at the Republican National Convention I am struck by how conservative commentators are bringing Mrs. Palin’s efforts in to the gutter. Every one from Laura Ingraham, Bill Bennet, and Rush Limbaugh has made what I consider vulgar analogies of Mrs. Palin’s demeanor. I am not saying they are degrading her. It just appears to me that to many are making comments not respectful of the caliber of her speech. For example statements such as the conservative movement know wears a skirt and lipstick.

Maybe, the amount of effort it took on my part to earn a college degree left me with an impression of how academics should behave. A close friend once called me an “education snob” because I commented that I did not believe there was that much need for people with out an education. Okay, I have matured since then. Still, I would rather conservative commentators restrict them selves to giving critical analysis of Mrs. Palin’s professional qualifications.

I like Mrs. Palin as a person. She is the kind of person I would like to buy lunch. She resonates as a nice, sincere, and decent person. It is my opinion the world is lacking in these types of people. I am tired of all the people with an “ugly nature” and complicated personal psychology.

This brings me to Mr. McCain. In the interest of honesty, Mr. McCain impressed me a lot in his performance at the church pastor Rick Warren oversees. It was encouraging to see Mr. McCain speak credibly on the issues that matter to most conservatives.

However, I am not a fanatic of Mr. McCain. I was a die-hard fan of Mr. Ronald Reagan. To this day, I would still sacrifice my life to save Mr. George W. Bush’s life.

This has to do with sentiment for a movement. I did not realize it at the time but what impressed of Mr. Reagan was his “wisdom of God” philosophy he so eloquently spoke of in his speeches. Several days ago Mr. Limbaugh was talking about how we all know right from wrong and we recognize our inner voice trying to keep us on the straight and narrow. I once told a person I was evangelizing that the reason we recognize evil is that our creator made us like Him. This is eternal, with a heart, and a mind capable of recognizing wisdom.

When Mr. Reagan spoke, he spoke with this wisdom. The individual can accomplish anything he or she sets her mind to in life. Government should not be an obstacle to a person accomplishing his or her dreams. Nothing is wrong with being a humble person working at his or her Christian mission.

Now, I have been criticized harshly for telling people the reason they are suffering is their own self-inflicted wounds. However, I ask you if you came across a person sitting on curve crying would you tell that person stay there crying cause you cannot help your self or would you tell them that only way to keep going forward is to get up and start walking. When we do not pay attention, we trip and fall. However, nothing is gained by sitting there crying.

This idea is important because Mr. Obama claims he is going to help people who are facing hardship. I contend that by buying people’s problems all Mr. Obama will accomplish it to tell people stay where you are cause you are not capable of helping your self. This is honestly cannot be a healthy attitude to develop and it cannot be good for the country to build citizens who buys in to this type of philosophy.

In many past articles, on my BLOG Preserving life, I have written about how a person gets to be a person who lacks self-confidence and has many mental health issues, like myself. For the most part, these are the personality types that struggle with life and find achieving personal success difficult. My heart does goes to this people. I know very well what it means to constantly be in crisis. I do not think I have had a moment’s peace since I was born.

However, I can attest that becoming a victim of society will never lead to anything. Furthermore, sometimes we loose sight of the reality of life. A while back God revealed to me that all He offered humanity was food, clothing, family, friends, a spouse, and His company. It is not required to be a doctor or lawyer to have all of this. Last night God was reminding me of how much land is available for farming. All of us can very easily grow what we need to eat and use natural resources to build our homes. In addition, no one is completely alone.

Therefore, how are we conservatives cruel to the underprivileged. By modern standards, these people are underprivileged. By but God’s standard, we all have the planet at our disposal. In addition, every one knows conservatives are more charitable then liberals. Furthermore, the big corporate giants that Obama and liberals like to criticize donate greatly to charities.

Therefore, with the philosophy of a good work ethic and personal responsibility, their charitable contributions, and their purchases conservatives give to the underprivileged every day. Personal success comes from perseverance and discipline. One person ones described insanity as trying the same thing repeatedly in light of getting the same result. Okay this could define insanity. However, this definition also fits the word discipline.

It takes sticking to it to succeed. Once, when I was watching the new Battlestar Galactica program, I heard something very profound. One character was being questioned about supporting one side of a conflict when her origin has obviously from the other side. This female character said, “ In life you pick a side and you stick”.

Conservative philosophy has served America well. American citizens have confidence in participating in this economy because they know there is an agreement between their government and them. This agreement is that government will not rob people of their rewards from hard work and success. This means that people are free to work, build businesses, and grow their businesses. In return, the federal government gets a percentage.

Mr. Obama would have people believe that the Republican Convention is nothing but people with empty rhetoric avoiding the issues. However, I heard McCain and Palin’s economic development plan very clearly. It involves allowing individuals and businesses the free from overwhelming taxes in order for them to succeed and in their success they will contribute to the “federal purse”.

I have seen the failure of social programs. Furthermore, I live in a city where people have been brainwashed in to generations of government dependency. We are in the year 2008 and people in the city where I live are still waiting for the liberal promises of the 1970’s to come and save them. Here dilapidated buildings, trash, and houses that can only be held together by prayer and miracles surround progress.

Many times, I have said it is criminal how liberal politicians shackle people to poverty by promising to save them. The politicians come in to make promises and are never seen again. You would think that by now some one would of figured out the “scam.”

It is tragic. The good news, however, is that many in America still practice personal accomplishment through personal investment. When I see the people on the floor at the Republican Convention, I see people working at making America work and with their success offering a “hand up” to their fellow citizens in need. The money the federal government has comes from the hard working taxpayer. All that is missing in America is financially responsible public servants. Again, I state “America works when Americans work”.
