The numerous job opportunities in the environmental industry which minimize Climate change.

There is a widespread and I would suggest mistaken belief that environmental protection equates to significant job loses with the prospect of poverty for the global community. This belief is somewhat misplaced as there are already employment opportunities with more to follow in years to come. It would probably surprise governments and the business community that their atitude concerning the natural environment could cause more harm than they realise. I would argue that not only will employment opportunites be created in the environmental industry, people will most likely find they and their children, will no longer have work as the earth struggles to provide them with the sort of lifestyle they may take for granted. Examples of current employment opportunities include; design and utilisation of solar panels on home and business roofs, solar hot water systems, wind farms, and hydro cars, are starting to replace exsiting and less environmentally friendly jobs.

If anyone suggests climate change is a figment of a mad scientist’s  imagination, or that it is not as significant as the scientific community claims they only need to open their eyes and see the many signs which are only beginning to appear. Natural disasters such a floods, fires, and volcanic erruptions are all indications that global warming is a reality as the earth can no longer cope with the pressure it suffers without becoming effected. While predictions of change varies. there is a universal belief that the damage has already been done that the planet will be forcced to adjust to further change.

I believe it is possible to slow climate change provided the global community maximises current and future employmet opportunities in the environmental industry. If, however, little is done to curb such destructive behaviour, climate change will undoubtedly continue until any hope of slowing it is gone and negative environmental change becomes inevitable for all life on earth.
